  • Superfudge

    • UNABRIDGED (3 hrs and 4 mins)
    • By Judy Blume
    • Narrated By Judy Blume
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

He knows a lot of big words, but he doesn't know where babies come from. He's never heard of a stork, but he plans to be a bird when he grows up. He's Superfudge, otherwise known as Farley Drexel Hatcher. And, according to his older brother, Peter, the biggest pain invented. Among other things.

    Lisa says: "Careful!"
    "A great story"

This has a hero for everyone -- mine's the ever challenged mom, my daughter loves the annoyed but earnest big brother, and of course our 4 year old loves the mischevious fudgie. After listening to this we had to read all four books in the series. Thank you Judy Blume!!

  • Junie B. Jones Collection: Books 1-2

    • UNABRIDGED (1 hr and 27 mins)
    • By Barbara Park
    • Narrated By Lana Quintal

Junie B. does her best, but life just has so many interesting possibilities, which often land her in trouble with the teacher and her parents. No matter how mixed-up things get, one thing's for sure, you'll have a good laugh listening to Junie B.'s adventures!

Orchidgirl says: "Need something to entertain kids in the car?"
    "LOve it"

Lana Quintall is great. She brings this story to life and has the whole family laughing.

  • Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle

    • UNABRIDGED (2 hrs and 37 mins)
    • By Betty MacDonald
    • Narrated By Karen White

Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle lives in an upside-down house and smells like cookies. She was even married to a pirate once. Most of all, she knows everything about children. She can cure them of any ailment. Patsy hates baths. Hubert never puts anything away. Allen eats v-e-r-y slowly. Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle has a treatment for all of them.

Mary A. says: "Light hearted and fun!"
    "A homerun"

This is fantastic. The reader is great and the stories are timeless. Stories about kids misbehaving and adults at their wits end (all with happy endings) keep everyone listening after we've arrived at our destination.

  • Arthur: Books 1-2

    • UNABRIDGED (1 hr and 7 mins)
    • By Marc Brown
    • Narrated By Mark Linn-Baker

In Arthur's Mystery Envelope, it looks like trouble when the principal asks Arthur to take home a large envelope marked CONFIDENTIAL. In Arthur and the Scare-Your-Pants-Off Club, Arthur and his pals can't wait for the next book in the Scare-Your-Pants-Off series, only to find out when the book arrives at the library that the series has been banned!

    "Plain pasta for the brain"

The kids love this MP3 probably because it reminds them of the tv series. As for me, the parent, it's a little dull. The narration is somewhat monotone, the story (there are two) lacks humor and sometimes I question the moral character of these stories -- they often contain sibling friction and teasing. All in all, its an inoffensive albiet tedious choice that the kids will love. A bit like a dinner of noodles and peas.

  • Encyclopedia Brown Mysteries: Volume 1

    • UNABRIDGED (2 hrs and 11 mins)
    • By Donald J. Sobol
    • Narrated By Jason Harris

A Civil War sword, a watermelon stabbing, missing roller skates, a trapeze artist's inheritance and an eyewitness who's legally blind! Encyclopedia Brown must solve cases by using his famous computer-like brain. Try to crack the cases along with him!

Eri says: "I Scream You Scream We All Scream ..."
    "Fun for everyone"

We love this selection! It's fun for our seven year old and her little brother (age 5). If you want to be interactive they have paused between the mystery and the solution -- so you can stop the story for a discussion. Great for repeat listenings. Good narration and sound quality.
