The audio version is great I'm not sure about the print version as I have not seen it.
The six wives of Henry the 8th. I listened to that one first and loved it as well.
All were great I couldn't pick just one.
Neither. It was just an excellent listen and the narrator was phenomenal.
Interesting, insightful, disturbing.
When the narrator describes the slave woman who is tied up by her thumbs and whipped to death.
No I haven't. I didn't find her narration very interesting. It actually hurt the story rather than helped it. Eventually I finished the audio book but not without a struggle as I found her voice to be very annoying.
The entire book moved me.
Great read! Wish the narrator was different. But I loved the story nonetheless.
I would rank a close 3 in my audible library! But this is the first business book Ive bought and listened to.
Both emira and lauren are my favorite as they are the authors of the book.
I have not. This is my first and she really makes the book come alive.
It made me laugh all the way through it as its not only very informative but very down to earth and relatable.
Great book for any woman who wants to start, run and maintain her own business. I highly recommend it.
Yes I would recommend this book because Harriet has such an amazing story I think it should be shared with everyone!
Harriet of course was my favorite character because she's such an compassionate brave woman who defied all odds to serve her purpose.
An in depth look into Harriet's life, feelings and emotions.
Yes! After I listened to it for the first time I started it all over again! For a total of 3 listens in 2 days!
I have not read the print version but I can say that the audio book is amazing!
The narrator singing the old negro spirituals. His voice is beautiful!
His singing he has a beautiful voice and how he gives each character in the story their own voice and personality! He's very talented!!!
Yes when Ava died and then St. Clair died right after her and Uncle Tom was sold once again south after being promised his freedom.
Oh yes! I have listened to it 4 times already! I loved this book and the voices and dialects the readers have for each character make the book such a great listen!!! I love the 1960's and this book definitely covers all aspects of that era.
Not sure I haven't read any other book like this one before Ive just seen movies based in the 1960's.
Minnie voiced by Octavia Spencer was my favorite. She made me laugh and made me smile.
I listen to it at work but the first time I listened I found myself listening while I was in the car and when I was at home. Anxiously wanting to know what happened next.
