Really enjoyed it. Took a little while to get the "context" of the era story takes place, but it takes nothing from the story. If you like the Patton/ Burke coop you'll love it (particularly if you liked "Rain Gods").
I never would have thought I'd ever recommend a Stephen King book (I'm not a horror fan), but this was worth all 30 plus hours. Duma Key was my first King novel and this was every bit as good. I was expecting a little different of an ending but it does not dampen my strong recommendation!!! Would definitely recommend!!!
I've started listening to this book after watching the premiere of the new television adaptation. There are many similarities adapted from the book. If your like myself and had not heard of this book and your only exposure is the new TV series? I think you'll enjoy the book even more. It is not for the faint of heart and does have some graphic sections. Although nothing compared to the TV show; I'm sorry the writers of the show made it so graphic.
