    What made the experience of listening to Energy for Future Presidents the most enjoyable?

    Muller presents a scientist's view about a broad range of energy topics. He backs up his conclusions with data and reasoning. The narration is fine but not exceptional.


    What did you like best about this story?

    This is a fresh view, on a topic that seems to confuse many.

    Some of the conclusions are surprising, e.g., about plug-in hybrids; but Muller explains his assumptions, and the conclusions seem to derive rather solidly from them. Perhaps some of those assumptions are mistaken, but at least they are clearly called out; Muller himself admits that shale resources are far greater than he had realized just a few years ago.

    The overall organization is well thought out - so, even though there is an accompanying PDF, the narrative is clear from the audio alone.

    What did you love best about Back to Work?

    The depth and breadth of the narrative, and the careful thinking that went into it, are noteworthy. The narration was superb.


    What about Bill Clinton’s performance did you like?

    The clarity of the exposition, the emphasis where appropriate, and most especially the fact that the author was the narrator. Of course, President Clinton brings a lot of credibility to the discussion.


    Any additional comments?

    This is the best treatment of the current situation and the path forward that I've heard, of the 6 or so that I've heard from Audible.

    If you could sum up End This Depression Now! in three words, what would they be?

    clear, correct, and compelling

    This audiobook is perhaps the best I've heard on economics and related topics. The writing is clear and the arguments are compelling. The only downside is that Krugman makes the emotional anguish of living through a depression worse by showing how it is self-inflicted (or more accurately, inflicted by ideological leaders and misguided economists who have not thought clearly about what a depression really is). The performance is also excellent.

    Where does Drift rank among all the audiobooks you???ve listened to so far?

    90th percentile, maybe a bit higher.


    What was one of the most memorable moments of Drift?

    I found the discussion of the growth of our mercenary army the most enlightening, and the most disturbing.


    Which scene was your favorite?

    The quality is pretty uniform throughout. Maddow is passionate about the material -- she can sometimes have a sarcastic tone, but that is excusable in view of the cynical actions and decisions on which she is reporting.


    Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    The audiobook is far too heavy to listen to in a singe session.
