"Good, but needed more"
Too short, did not have enough intrigue, ebb and flow. As always Gene Engene did a great job telling the story.
"Great, exciting "read,""
I drive a lot, and listening to books makes the time go very quickly. I am a huge fan of J.P. Beaumont. I am listening to each book in order. I like how the characters are built from book to book. This one has a great plot, and Gene Engene's narration is so good. He makes the characters come alive.
"Always a good read"
The story was not Jance's best, but still kept you in suspense. I missed Seattle. And felt that J.P Beaumont was not at his best.
As ALWAYS, Gene Engene's performance was so good. He pulls you into the story, so that you "see" all of the characters, and feel an integral part of the story. I love the continuity of the characters.
Start "reading" at Book 1 to get the full story, otherwise you will never know the real truth about Ann Corley.
"Great "Read""
I am addicted to the JP Beaumont series. I am taking them in order, and enjoying everyone. I love the continuity that each book follows on from past stories.
Gene Engene does a great job. His narration gives word pictures of each character. If I was an artist, I could draw each one based on his characterizations.
Thanks for allowing me miles of enjoyment on my otherwise stressful and boring drives to work.
"Story is great, but presentation disappointing"
I was hoping to hear Tom Selleck read the story, so I was probably disappointed anyway. I had never heard of Richard Masur.
Sadly, an "A" story read by a "B" actor.
"Keeps you on your toes"
Excellent suspense. Kept you going down rabbit trails, and didn't disappoint at the end.
