This is my first book of SYoung. I think I will be listening to her more. This book was interesting, enjoyable and sexy. I really appreciated the manner this writer keeps you in the book because you have to find the answers. Well done. I love everything about this book.
Narration: I'm giving you a 10 Paula Costello because I normally cannot listen to a Scottish accent without getting a headache. For me you were awesome, all the "voices" were so good you could identify them and they "fit" the character. LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS BOOK!
I didn't care for REAL. I really thought I wanted know Remy's POV. So here we are with the same cast of characters. There is just not enough story here...it becomes revolting to continually hear about what he desires to do to His Brooke...it truly is erotica.
I enjoyed this series. My favorite is still Mystery Man...3 hot guys, all wanting 1 girl with much drama very well written. Love this narrator. I appreciated she took each story in a unique direction. Not completely different but enough difference it was interesting. This series was certainly worth the purchase because I have really enjoyed. I'll look for this author and narrator. My one complaint is this...I would thought Mitch was a calmer more laid back type. I didn't see him as this intense but maybe I should have. This book came with children, and mystery, drugs, and a protagonist that is not confident. The common denominator seems to be the protagonist(I really don't like that word) the women are loving, caring, nurturing women, the men are all alpha. This author also has a good sense of humor. Love that.
This story didn't develop for me. I LOVE Jenna Lamia's narration or I might have left this one at midpoint. It is a story about a family in the Great Smokey Mountains before paved roads, etc. They were poor and clannish, very superstitious, and I did enjoy the lore that followed them. Otherwise, for me it was somewhat lacking in the story department. It is worth the credit to listen to Ms. Lamia.
This is a good story that would be common But Laura Kaye gave it a different spin. He doesn't want to like her but he does and she doesn't know why he is resisting....her father betray his men making her blood of the enemy. According to them anyway. Her brother gets involved, he is an innocent in all of this. There is kidnapping; torture and some really different twists from what could of been common. Love Finds a Way....I love it.
I enjoyed Wild Man..it went in a different direction than I thought it was going. Mystery Man is still my fav due to the balance between the characters, the action+suspense....Wild Man was a good book but from the manner "Skull" behaved in Mystery Man...this book was mainly dialog...yes there was some tension and lives were in danger with her previous husband. It was worth the credit and I wouldn't miss it. I just didn't find it memorable. This is a really good author and narrator. I will look for them both in the future.
Enjoyed this story of a troubled young man with family dealing with many issues. The girl everyone loves seems to be the conductor of calm. But underneath that is a driven and a I don't want to be soooo nice girl. Claiming her man...dealing with all the issues, a crazy really crazy ex. This was not the run of the mill story and I enjoyed it a lot. I am too old to understand the fascination with piercings and tattoos but realize they are very popular. It was a good mix that I could enjoy and appreciate. Worth the credit.
Saving Cee Cee Honeycutt is among my most favorite books. What a privilege to read another book by Beth Hoffman. This book awakened such nostalgia. I was a child at the end of an era...when life was slower, going to town was a big deal. Community was a nucleus of familiar characters, family, and very hard work. This author captures that, is able to take you there with words. It is just beautiful. Jenna Lamia is The Southern Voice. Thank you so much for this story...so rich with story...and like the South things happen in there own time. Perfect timing, I can hear some people thinking this is slow but I highly recommend you wrap yourself in this wonderful story and let it become a part of you.
I never miss a Nora Roberts book, always look forward to her books. This story is memorable. Very entertaining intro to a series. Very talented narration.
I love Caroline Lee's voice and thought I could listen to her read anything. For me it's jumping around was too much between too many characters. The secret was reveiled and the story just went on and on. It didn't maintain my interest. I have books narrated by Caroline Lee I have listened to many times. I will not go back to this one.
I had sworn off anymore NSparks books because they depress me. This books shows he can write an interesting loving and yes some tragedy but it was acceptable. I really really enjoyed this narrator. It was just all good. I truly enjoyed it and that is what I listen to novels for....Thank you.
