    Story

Indian Hill is about an ordinary boy who grows up in relatively normal times but who finds himself thrust into an extraordinary position. Growing up in suburban Boston, Michael enjoys the trials and tribulations that all adolescents go through, from the seemingly tyrannical mother, to girl problems, to run-ins with the law. From there he escapes to college out in Colorado with his best friend, Paul, where they begin to forge new relationships with those around them. It is one girl in particular that has caught Michael's eye, and he alternately pines for her and laments ever meeting her.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Anyone that hasn't listened to mark tufo's zombie fallout series i think may like this book.

Would you ever listen to anything by Mark Tufo again?

    Well DUH!!

Which character – as performed by Sean Runnette – was your favorite?

    Michael was obviously :)

    Any additional comments?

I first got onto mark tufo through his zombie fallout series, after listening to that series it makes this book seem like a cheap knock off (even tho i think this book was written before zombie fallout, and both books use the same characters) I just couldnt get really into this book because some of the characters in this book are completely different to how I have grown to like them in the fallout series....

This is Part One of Book 1 of the A Song of Ice and Fire Series. This first volume in the hugely popular and highly acclaimed epic fantasy series A SONG OF ICE AND FIRE is unabridged and split into two parts. Now a major Sky Atlantic TV series from HBO, starring Sean Bean. Summers span decades. Winter can last a lifetime. And the struggle for the Iron Throne has begun.

Great story and well done...a few times the names are said wrong but you know who the reader is on about... I dislike how the one book has been split up into 2 parts... this just seems like who ever recorded the books is trying to charge us twice the price for a single book, now i know the book in parts is 16hrs long each part but it is ONE BOOK and we shouldnt have to pay $13 for the 1st part and $13 for the next!

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

More action...and more effort put into the story....just seemed that the longer this series went the less effort was put in and the story turned to boredom

What do you think your next listen will be?

Maybe steel world....see if its any good

What about Mark Boyett’s performance did you like?

I just like his reading style :)

    Any additional comments?

for the final book in the series i found this book lacking....the series just went along getting worse....The story just seems like it was thrown together... Just a let down for how long i've been listening to the series and waiting for this last book...

Would you try another book from TW Brown and/or Andrew McFerrin?

Yes because the story is actually pretty good...But the narration is so awful, it seems to be read without full stops or taking a breath....It moves from one group to the next in the same sentence...

Who was your favorite character and why?

meh they all have good things and bad things....

How could the performance have been better?

    Sean Runnette

Was Dead: The Ugly Beginning worth the listening time?

Its a good story i just dont have the time to read all that much so listening to it while working is just easier

    Any additional comments?

Good story :) Try to ignore narration being in one single sentence

Time is a very fluid thing, no one really has a grasp on it other than maybe how to measure it. As the maestro of the Day by Day Armageddon Universe, I have the latitude of being in control of that time. I can adjust the slider either direction, moving the timeline back and forth along the continuum. This is one of the perks of creation, the benefit in constructing something (albeit small) from nothing. Sort of makes you wonder what the maestro of the universe is up to, no? You have again stumbled upon a ticket with service through the apocalyptic wastes, but this time the train is a little bit older, a little more beat up, and maybe a little wiser. Keep your doors locked.

What was most disappointing about J. L. Bourne’s story?

The entire thing....i mean a zombie proof shield... :|

What does James Snyder bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I love how this book is read. Its even and fluid, so i can picture whats happening in my head.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

The fact that i like the series (even tho it got weird with alien things)...But this book is 25yrs in the future and good old kill is still going...

    Any additional comments?

I didnt really like this one but in saying that i've read most other reviews and the ppl seem to love it so your going to have to listen to it yourself :)

Dark fantasy goes hardboiled in Book II of the hard-hitting Grimnoir Chronicles by the New York Times best-selling creator of Monster Hunter International. The Grimnoir Society’s mission is to protect people with magic, and they’ve done so—successfully and in secret—since the mysterious arrival of the Power in the 1850s, but when a magical assassin makes an attempt on the life of President Franklin Roosevelt, the crime is pinned on the Grimnoir.
