This is a horrible and utterly dry book. I skipped from chapter 6 to 17 and didnt miss a thing. I can't even waste anymore time on this and will be asking for a refund. Not a single deep thought here.....see dog run, see dog roll over.......oh this must be a man, this must be a girl dog.....ad nausea. I felt like I was listening to story time in a kindergarden class without the juice and cookies. This is all nap time...Zzzzzzzzzzzzz

DONT SPEND THE CREDIT. This book has been misclassified as adult reading when I am sure it should be in the children's section.

Better dog book would be: The art of racing in the rain.

Min Dobbs knows that happily-ever-after is a fairy tale, especially with a man who asked her to dinner to win a bet. Cal Morrisey knows commitment is impossible, especially with a woman as cranky as Min Dobbs. When they say good-bye at the end of their evening, they cut their losses and agree never to see each other again. But Fate has other plans.

This author just can’t write. Characters banter back and forth and you know which character is which based on the conversation BUT the author has to use "Min said", "Calvin said", "David said"...ad nauseam...after each statement. In a 20 minute dialog there must have been 40-60 "insert character name, Said"...just have the conversation already! Two people are talking and I can figure out who is saying what!

There is also a character that just was stupid and could have been written out of the story without any damage done. “Cynth” (every character’s name is shortened into a nick name…geez) is the main character’s ex-girlfriend. She is a psychologist who is writing a book on Love and spends too much time explaining the 4 stages of love and what stage Cal and Min are in. She even shows up in scenes that she shouldn’t be in. What woman shows up at the same event and talks to the new girlfriend's friends about the four stages of love. Unnecessary intruder. It’s like she is placed in a scene just to explain to the reader what stage of love we are witnessing. As if I am too stupid to know this is infatuation, or lust, or courting. She is like a sportscaster whispering during a golf game…annoying!

Don’t waste your credit. If I could get my credit back I would.

I only got this book for the Molly Haper story which is the 2nd of three stories. The first story is a total waste of time. Sucked eggs. Why Molly Harper allowed her stuff to be published with this garbage is beyond me. Hopefully she will publish her own book of short stories and this one will show up in it!

I thought this author was a Jr. writer with lots of potential. Then I found out she had another, well liked, series!! Would not have guest. The story was interesting and could have been really exciting if the dialouge hadn't flipped between adolescent and mature language. I understand the main character was a teenager but it just felt awkward even during the romantic scenes. Overall the story kept my interest and I had fun with the strong silent type angels.

Meet Peter Brown, a young Manhattan emergency room doctor with an unusual past that is just about to catch up with him. His morning begins with the quick disarming of a would-be mugger, followed by a steamy elevator encounter with a sexy young pharmaceutical rep, topped off by a visit with a new patient - and from there Peter's day is going to get a whole lot worse and a whole lot weirder.

I like Joe Hill and have read/enjoyed (hard copy) Hear-Shaped Box.

This collection of stories was a little difficult for me to warm up to. I only really liked Black Telephone. The rest felt..... unfinished. Maybe its just a writting style Im not used to.

I have to say I liked the reader. He sounded a little like he had a head cold but that "stuffiness" made all the "kid" parts see so real.

There are some odd things about Nate’s new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind. He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the future. So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s. And Veek’s.

I love the reader Ray Porter so I got the book. I only finished the book out of A.) Morbid Curiosity and B.) Ray Porter's skill as a performer.

This 12 hour book took 8 hours to build character ID, and lay out (ad nauseam) how they were trying to solve a sci-fi mystery.

In the 8 hours you have NO CLUE what they are trying to solve. What was the point of there search? And when what the are looking for is finally on the horizon you plummet into the abyss of WTF? It was a Bath Salts trip with a lackluster, predictable, poorly thought out ending.

Why anyone liked this is beyond me.

Once presided over by a flamboyant Hollywood mogul during the Roaring ’20s, the magnificent West Coast property known as Roseland is now home to a reclusive billionaire financier and his faithful servants. And, for the moment, it’s also a port in the storm for Odd Thomas and his traveling companion, the inscrutably charming Annamaria. In the wake of Odd’s most recent clash with lethal adversaries, the opulent manor’s comforts should be welcome. But there’s far more to Roseland than meets even the extraordinary eye of Odd, who soon suspects it may be more hell than haven.

I love Odd. His humor and banter was as usual....witty and fun! Dark humor is never wasted on me.The story line just not my cup of tea. Took more than 4 hours of listening to get the plot rolling. Too slow a build up....trying to catch up new readers. Took too long to point the "reader" in a definite direction. When Knootz did hit the sweet spot the pace was so quick you couldn't get "into it". I have an hour left and Im only finishing it out of, one part loyalty and one part morbid curiosity. Sorry Dean.

Odd hours was a let down too. I think Im done with Odd...unless he returns to his roots of "seeing dead people" and gets out of the weirdness.

My father always said fear was a weakness. Well, that's easy to say when you don't have to worry about vampire slayers or holy water. I hate fear, but undead life goes on. In the two months since I was attacked in the hospital morgue and turned into a vampire, I've killed my evil sire, Cyrus, fallen in love with my new sire, Nathan, and have even gotten used to drinking blood.

I have to say the storyline is a little more interesting in this book but still a lightweight storyteller.I've gotten use to the reader and even like her now. There were so many complaints about her they changed the reader for book 3 & 4. Hope it pans out.

The List is a technothriller about a group of people who each have tattoos of numbers on the bottoms their feet, and don't know why. One of them, a Chicago Homicide cop named Tom Mankowski, has had one of these strange tattoos since birth. When he investigates a violent murder and discovers the victim also has a tattooed number, it sets the ball rolling for an adventure of historic proportions. To say more would give away too much.
