Gregory Maguire's Wicked Years series became national best sellers and the basis for a hit Tony-winning Broadway musical. Now, Maguire returns with the final installment in his transformative work, a thrilling and compulsively readable saga in which the fate of Oz is decided at last.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I'm not really sure I could find someone who would enjoy this rambling mess.

What was most disappointing about Gregory Maguire’s story?

I'm not really sure there was a story here. I listened to it, and when done, I just don't rurally understand what the story was suppose to be anyway. The first book was awesome, but the next three have gotten progressively worse. I continued listening to this book in hopes that it would be redeeming at some point, but alas I was sadly disappointed.

Have you listened to any of John McDonough’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Performance is fine, it was the story that was just awful.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

This book sparked disappointment and confusion as to what exactly the story was.

    Any additional comments?

Don't waste your time with this book. In the end, it is just a rambling mess of nothing.
