"Sweet childrens story"
I don't usually listen to children's stories but this one was golden. There was great characterisation and I just wanted to keep listening to find out what happened next.
Fantastic, very British.
"Spiritual but not religious or preachy"
Made me want to keep listening. Filled with inspiring thoughts but also an really good story. I love the British narrator too, such a nice change from so many of the harsh American accents of many Audible books.
"Absolutely brilliant"
I have listened to the previous two book in this series, Report for Murder and Common Murder. This is just as good as the other two if not better. I love Vari Sylvester as a narrator.
The story is really good. It took me a little while to get into it because there were quite a few different characters to remember but it was a gripping story. I didn't want to stop listening. I can't wait to listen to the next one in the series.
If you haven't read the first two in the series you should definitely read them first. Val has really good mystery plots with lots of interesting twists and turns. She also writes really good believable lesbian characters.
