Clary Fray is seeing things: vampires in Brooklyn and werewolves in Manhattan. Irresistably drawn towards a group of sexy demon hunters, Clary encounters the dark side of New York City - and the dangers of forbidden love.

Where does City of Bones rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I normally consume plenty of Sci-Fi so I wanted a little break into the fantasy, this book was a great choice. I've seen the trailer for the upcoming film and I thought I would read (hear) the book before the story was ruined. There is plenty of Teenage angst in this book and it did peeve me off a little to have to relieve some of uncomfortable days, but this was balanced with a good deal of action and a evolving and interesting back story. There is good potential here and I can see why a movie company would love to kick off a franchise here. Let's hope that they stay true to the story (Potter Style).

I want to recommend this book to readers (listeners) who like to stay within the vampire, werewolf, witch and warlock sort of genre. No reinventing here but a solid story line so far.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Jase, the rebel without one cause type, and his cause is Demon Hunting.

What three words best describe Ari Graynor’s voice?

I love her Brooklyn accent and she managed to nail all the girl voices.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

They are so let's hope is a good one.

This is a spellbinding tale woven of equal parts epic and myth - with a liberal dash of hard science fiction. When a one-way time tunnel to Earth’s distant past, specifically six million B.C., was discovered by folks on the Galactic Milieu, every misfit for light-years around hurried to pass through it. Each sought his own brand of happiness. But none could have guessed what awaited them. Not even in a million years....

Would you listen to The Many-Colored Land again? Why?

This is one of those stories that has retained it's strength in the sci-fi realm and still sounds so fresh. I read this book quite some time ago when I was a teenager, but through adult eyes (or ears) I was even more impressed.

What other book might you compare The Many-Colored Land to and why?

I couldn't compare this book to any others, it does reflect modern themes of time travel and intergalactic "federations" but it is woven very differently. It's refreshing.

What does Bernadette Dunne bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I did enjoy her reading and she reproduced the dramatic tones perfectly and her characterization of some of the male leads were awesome. Take note of the Richard character, brilliant.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

    I choose Exile!

    Any additional comments?

Get it if you haven't read it before, you will be snared.

Many things have changed for our heroes in the 3 years after the battle of Endor, but the Empire is by no means finished. The remnants of the Imperial fleet are under the control of Grand Admiral Thrawn, a devastatingly efficient warrior intent in bringing his type of order back to the galaxy. In a perfectly constructed Star Wars storyline, we find ourselves in the thick of, smugglers, Jedi, droids and Wookies. What more could you ask for. I really enjoyed this story and can’t wait to move onto the other books in the saga." }, { "id" : 67, "type" : "Genre", "typeString" : "genre", "question" : "If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?", "answer" : "If you have been missing those T-16 rides through Beggar’s Canyon grab a copy of Heir to the Empire and “bulls-eye” a couple of womp rats while you’re at it." }, { "id" : -1, "type" : "Misc", "typeString" : "misc", "question" : "Any additional comments?", "answer" : "\" } ]
