It is the year 2010. Her Divine Majesty, Queen Elizabeth XXX sits upon the throne. Great Britain’s vast Empire is run by alchemy and superstition. Now Sir Rupert Triumff, dashing swordsman, has uncovered a vile plot to dethrone her glorious majesty. For the honour of the nation: to arms! Multi-million selling author Dan Abnett whips up a furious maelstrom of incredible swordfights, wild invention and truly outrageous jokes.

What made the experience of listening to Triumff: Her Majesty's Hero the most enjoyable?

Abnett did a great job in creating this work. He was able to make it a perfect balance of comedy, intrigue, and sword play. The narrator does well to depict all of te characters and delivers the quips and jokes with maximum effect. I was entertained immensly by this and hope Abnett will make a few more adventures for Triumff!

  • The Gunslinger: The Dark Tower I

Eerie, dreamlike, set in a world that is weirdly related to our own, The Gunslinger introduces Roland Deschain of Gilead, of In-World that was, as he pursues his enigmatic antagonist to the mountains that separate the desert from the Western Sea in the first volume of The Dark Tower series. Roland, the last gunslinger, is a solitary figure, perhaps accursed, who with a strange single-mindedness traverses an exhausted, almost timeless landscape of good and evil.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Toooo draaaawn oooout. We get it you want this to be an ongoing series but this first book just left me baffled and annoyed.

What does George Guidall bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

    Good voice acting

Could you see The Gunslinger being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

No. People can barely take it when walking dead has an episode that goes no where but if it were a whole movie or season that went no where consider it cancelled.
