+ 11. I am 3 hours into this audio book and it is great.
I haven't finished it yet but the story is terrific and its building.
Jeff is a terrific narrator and brings a unique voice to each character. Don't miss it.
Jeff's understated wit and/or Dexter's sardonic/sarcastic remarks are very funny.
If you like Dexter and Jeff's Dexter books, this purchase is a no brainer ! It delivers !
Tom Wood is an excellent author. His main character , with his social flaws is somehow sympathetic a/l/a Dexter. Rob Shapiro does his usual fabulous job with voices/narration
Rob is the perfect narrator. A great job of all of Tom wood's books
really needed more ' sci fi ' and working the interesting sci fi themes.
legal crime drama
narrator could not rescue this story
some interesting sci fi themes.
characters were sort of depressing. did not enjoy reading about all their strife and suffering.
Peter did a great job with the characters
When they caught the ' bad guys '.
The 112 chapters give the story a somewhat choppy pace. The plot does move but I think 112 interruptions is unnecessary.
I felt the last story was the least interesting. The virtual reality theme has been overdone IMO.
I felt the narrator over hyped the last story.
I liked the premise . And the 1st story was the most interesting. the 3rd story was good ( the 2nd detroit based story).
it was free ! Thank you for that.
Well worth your time
I liked the ' good ' characters and despised the villains in this story
Excellent narration. Female characters can be difficult and he did a good job with them.
It definitely held my interest. The last hour was thrilling.
Story line was excellent with interesting characters. I am checking out more of this authors work
His earlier books were better
the clipped non answer conversations between the agents and gov't officials is grating and irritating after awhile. I hope that does not happen in real life. The plot has some merit but the dialogue was silly.
the female narrator is not convincing and her other voices are not working. That was the reason for the 1 rating.
I like how Ripley has evolved and the various situations he is placed in.
the author has cleverly placed you inside the mind of Ripley. and a fascinating mind it is
I thought it was great how Ripley wore a ' costume ' and took on the kidnappers. Absolute genius of the imagination
this is not the most thrilling of the Ripley series, but you should give it your time.
did not read print version
Its just as good as the Gone Girl
narrator is excellent. Not familiar w/her other narrations
The last 1 hour was especially dramatic. And tied numerous previous clues/details together.
Gillian Flynn is an awesome writer. A dark story and an incredible weaving of events and characters.
i might try 1 more since the story has potential
it was difficult to relate to many of the characters. The story line for them was way too long and plodding. I liked the Amy character, the 1st part especially and the premise of the virils. The walking back and forth across the country by the characters and their drama was not interesting to me.
peter, theo, alesia, masaki/mouse and their fort in california was not interesting. Too long
