"Loved it!"
Engaging southern fiction/ couldn't turn it off. I highly recommend this one. I will probably listen to it again at some point.
"Great Read!"
I was surprised how much I enjoyed this selection. I liked how the relationships built between the characters while they were working on restoring the old house. The characters had depth and the storytelling was great. I also loved The Accidental Bestseller, and am eager to try some of the other books by this author.
"Pleasantly Surprised...."
After reading the other review, I was sceptical about getting this one, even though I have enjoyed other Balogh novels. Although not high literature, this recording was a pleasant enough surprise. I enjoyed the slightly flightly main character, who is somewhat more lighthearted than Balogh's other more serious heroines. It was worth using a credit.
"Perfect fun summer reading!"
I love Mary Kay Andrews' books in general, and so was very excited to get going on this one. I was not disappointed. It is not my MOST favorite of hers (Savannah Blues and Savannah Breeze are my faves, also liked The Fixer Upper) but still very fun and had me laughing out loud in parts. It is a little Nancy Drewish but that is ok with me because as a kid I liked those too. If you want lighthearted fun reading with a little bit of suspense thrown in, I reccommend it.
"Hard to get through..."
I am usually a fan, so was sad when this book took a downward spiral into a whiny mess.
"I would recommend this one."
This one was definitely worth my time. An entrancing mystery/ ghost story...
