right at the top. It is another good Book in Griffin's Corps series.
All of the Corps series show the dedication Marines have for each other and their well being, Griffin brings that out very well.
Dick Hill is an outstanding and very talented Performer, he is good in all of his readings.
Joe Howard's reaction at the Pearl Harbor Attack
This is a very interesting Story, the life story of a courage's Man.Least: the constant mispronounced titles, place names, ie it should be Chu Lai, not Chu Lay.
Blackburn's Homecoming and re-adjustment to Peace and Home.
A Reader who had familiarized himself with the proper/correct pronunciations of place >names and definitions, ie. the Army of South Vietnam was not pronounced A.R.V.N. but Arven, he spelled it every time.
It's frustrating and discouraging to find a Book with a great story being butchered by the Reader. How about giving some Readers an Audition and have the script reviewed by someone who is familiar with the local flavor and lingo.
more of an in depth story focusing on the actual action
to much time was spent on interpersonal mumbo jumbo which went nowhere.
no, but he did an excellent Job, with the script he had to work with. Maybe he can redo all of the "Men in Blue" series, because Michael Russotto is a DISASTER.
I am original Griffin Fan, beginning with the Lieutenants, this book although long awaited, was slow on action. Nothing at all like all the other Griffin books.
in the top 3, only Vince Flynn and Brad Thor rival his Books
all of Vince Flynn's, because they keep you on the edge of your seat and do so from the beginning, no 10 chapter boring intro
the end scene when the Hostage is saved and the Iranians have the fake Bomb
yes, I can listen while driving ( working)
Uncle Egg, his down to earth folksie outlook on life, kind of mirrors mine.
Again Uncle Egg, the reader did an outstanding job
it made me laugh and root for "our" side against the arrogant- "we are better than you" attitude of the French. Very accurately presented
where is the follow up book
I have no idea, but ask me again when it is remastered.
The story itself is very heart wrenching and interesting.
I think he should have had a "Professional" reader take over, his voice just put me to sleep.
Sadness, you survive a War only to loose your life on an R&R trip.
Authors should leave the reading of their Books to "Professionals" , it would certainly increase sales and great enjoyment for the listeners ( Customers).
any other Griffin Books that have Scott Brick or Hill as the readers, they are fantastic reader
use a better reader that does not put you to sleep
disappointment, that who ever is reading comments by Customers does not conduct an investigation and never ever let Mchael Russotto read another Griffin Book
I read the book before, but listing to this reader,at the slow speed he is reading put me to sleep. His pronunciation of the German is totally wrong. It's "Leibstandarte" meaning Hitler's Bodyguards, not "Liebstandarte" this has nothing to do with " Lieb- Love".
Scott Brick should have been chosen as the reader.
Can I get my money back?
Seldom will you read a Book such as this, describing in detail the inner feelings of an Officer who has to face the perils of the the big ugly world outside. I enjoyed this Book tremendously.
