I think the book is good with lots of practical advice. However one thing that I found annoying was the narration of lists. For example there are numerous self-assessment exercises in the book where you are supposed to choose from different options. For a written book it is easy to scan down and choose the correct option and move on. For an audio book narration of lists of options can put the listener to sleep! Apart from that one annoyance the book has solid information.
I am a natural introvert. After listening to the book I feel that its OK to be an introvert. I don't have to push myself to an extrovert because extroverts are somehow 'better'. I am happier in my own skin.
I am about half way through this audio book and I am really enjoying it. I have always enjoyed Arnie's movies and its really great to learn more about his life and how he came to be an actor etc. Its also an intro. for me to the world of body building - something I knew nothing about. Its also very interesting to hear about all the other famous people Arnie comes across from the movie and political world.
Another strong theme in the book is how Arnie built his wealth through his business activities. He basically arrived in the USA with nothing and built wealth from scratch. Overall an inspiring and entertaining story on many levels!
I enjoyed listening to Steve and how he became a comic and the ups and downs of a comedian's life. As to be expected there are a few laughs in the story as well!
I liked listening to General Powell in his own voice. In particular I like listening to anecdotes from his own career. Nuggets of wisdom he learned from senior officers, presidents Regan and Bush etc. He comes across as sincere and a man of integrity. It was also interesting to hear about his own particular background and how he worked his way to the top from humble beginnings in New York. His success philosophy obviously worked and his particular life lessons are valuable.
I enjoyed listening to the stories of the different micro-entrepreneurs. Its always interesting hearing about other people's lives!
The author gives his opinions on a range of topics. It was OK in places but I generally found it irritating to listen to and don't see myself listening to it again.
I liked Jillian's motivating style - it is motivating just to listen to her tone of voice!
This is a very useful audio. I am a procrastinator and this audio from Brian Tracy is very practical and sensible about how to 'eat your frog' for breakfast. This has defiantly started working in my life and I can see myself improving using Brian's tips - Thanks very much.
