Not so very long ago, Eragon - Shadeslayer, Dragon Rider - was nothing more than a poor farm boy, and his dragon, Saphira, only a blue stone in the forest. Now the fate of an entire civilization rests on their shoulders. months of training and battle have brought victories and hope, but they have also brought heartbreaking loss. And still, the real battle lies ahead: they must confront Galbatorix. When they do, they will have to be strong enough to defeat him. And if they cannot, no one can.

What did you love best about Inheritance?

The relationships that were developed throughout the series.

What other book might you compare Inheritance to and why?

Maybe lord of the rings because there is a long quest and a struggle between good and evil.

Which character – as performed by Gerard Doyle – was your favorite?

All the dragons. He made their voices so unique and whimsical.

There are tales of Middle-earth from times long before The Lord of the Rings. The story told in this book is set in the great country that lay beyond the Grey Havens in the West: lands where Treebeard once walked, but which were drowned in the great cataclysm that ended the First Age of the World.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

My father or some person who is really into the lord of the rings series because this is a prequel sort of so they would enjoy it.

Has The Children of Hurin turned you off from other books in this genre?

No it was just not my style.

Have you listened to any of Christopher Lee’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No but I really like his performance I thought he was good. He doesn't do different voices though.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Some of the war stuff was cool, but to me it read much like a history book.

Michael Hordern stars as J.R.R. Tolkien, author of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, in four BBC Radio full-cast dramatisations. Tolkien's tales of myth, mystery, and rumbustious exploits have been specially adapted for radio by Brian Sibley, one of the dramatists of the highly acclaimed BBC radio production of The Lord of the Rings.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

I was distracted by all the different characters, and the stories themselves were not that great. That was surprising given that I liked all of J.R.R Tolkien's other work. I think just having one person read it and having a better story would have been nice.

Has Tales from the Perilous Realm (Dramatised) turned you off from other books in this genre?

No I just didn't like these stories in particular.

Would you be willing to try another one of Matthew Morgan’s performances?

Yes he sounds very pleasant and I enjoyed listening to him. It was all the other voices I found distracting.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disappointment. After reading books like the The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings I really liked his writing style and the type of stories he dreamed up. I have even read some of the unfinished tales from Tolkien and really liked those. This one was just kind of boring and not really as imaginative as his other work.

    Any additional comments?

There was one story I found somewhat enjoyable, and that was the first one (can't remember the name) it was the best one out of the four.

Would you consider the audio edition of Mockingjay to be better than the print version?

I didn't read the print version, but I thought it was a wonderful conclusion. The ending was perfect and everything in between was excellent.

Who was your favorite character and why?

In this book definitely Katniss she was the strongest in this book, and she had heart. You could really tell that she cared deeply for all the lives she felt responsible for, and she would do anything to make her sister happy. She was also strong enough to get what she needed to do even if it meant she was not going to live to see the outcome.

    Which scene was your favorite?

Spoiler alert!!!!! When she was supposed to kill Snow, but killed coin instead.

    Any additional comments?

This was a great conclusion. The entire series was amazing, and the ending of this book only made the series even more amazing. Yet there was an underlying message that haunts you and make you think, which only make the book more amazing.

What made the experience of listening to Catching Fire the most enjoyable?

The different twists that it had in it. There were quite a few unexpected moments followed by some great expected ones. Also the inner dialog that Katniss had was amazing you felt the same emotions as her.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I loved Pita because you could really tell her cared for Katniss. I also loved Katniss because she was a very strong girl and a great role model for young girls as well.

Which character – as performed by Carolyn McCormick – was your favorite?

I loved Joanna in this book because Carolyn McCormick gives her a smug attitude that fit so well with the character.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When they were on the victory tour and in district 11 and she gave the speech to the two families. I also found it moving at the districts response to her speech. I got teary.

    Any additional comments?

I absolutely loved this book and could not wait to listen to the 3rd book. The author is an amazing writer, and very descriptive.

Could you survive on your own, in the wild, with everyone out to make sure you don't live to see the morning? In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by 12 outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of 12 and 18 to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.

If you could sum up The Hunger Games in three words, what would they be?

    Absolutely Great Series

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Hunger Games?

When the mutations came out and Katniss figured out that they had the eyes of the other contestants that died throughout the games.

Which character – as performed by Carolyn McCormick – was your favorite?

I like Rue because she gave her a very sweet and young voice so I thought of Rue as a child because of that voice.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes it was and lucky for me I could because I had a long road trip.

    Any additional comments?

The movie did not do it any justice. Overall it was a great book
