Starts out same as all other Largo tales. However, story gets old as the impossible continues to happen over and over again.
Make the story more realistic as the Largos go about the adventure and less mission impossible.
Security Number One
Thought I knew most of what was going on since I ran an IT div in DC, but was not aware of this worm.
No bank account is safe
The story line was interesting, but the repeated impossible escapes become boring. focus more on developing the mystery and less on creating the countless and impossible escapes.
Focus more on the mystery and more realistic dialog
Scott weaves together a believable story of science in the begining and then stretches it into myth that pulls you into the story. One can identify with many of the characters and big business types as well as the sterotype navtive's spirit world...the not so good, greedy, and the saints. Great read!!
I'm stuck, same as the author, of how Germany's people could go along with such terrible crimes. The German people were top in many of their engineering and art fields. Education abounded. The lesson: no country or peoples are immune to committing atrocities on other peoples.
Finder's weaving of the plot provides excellent entertainment because one cannot anticipate every twist and turn in the story (however, many can be predicted). He does get somewhat verbose in his descriptions; but, I enjoyed the artful mental paintings...my wife, however, did not. This is a perfect book for a long drive!
