  • The Sorcerer of the North: Ranger's Apprentice, Book 6

    • UNABRIDGED (9 hrs and 50 mins)
    • By John Flanagan
    • Narrated By Stuart Blinder
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Time has passed since the apprentice and his master, Will and Halt, led the Araluens to victory against invaders, and Will is now a full-fledged Ranger with his own fief to look after. The fief seems sleepy - boring, even - until the king is poisoned. Joined by his friend Alyss, Will is thrown headfirst into an extraordinary adventure propelled by fears of sorcery, and must determine who is trustworthy to the king and who is trying to take his throne.

Wayne says: "Buy the other book"
    "Buy the other book"

This is a great book ruined by bad reading. I am sure he is good at other books but he just is not as good as John Keating. Buy the Other one; you will not regret it and you will not have to spend money twice on the same book. I gave this 3 stars for the book only.

  • Scorpia Rising - The Final Mission: An Alex Rider Adventure

    • UNABRIDGED (10 hrs and 12 mins)
    • By Anthony Horowitz
    • Narrated By Simon Prebble
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Scorpia has dogged Alex Rider for most of his life. They killed his parents, they did their best to con Alex into turning traitor, and they just keep coming back with more power. Now the world's most dangerous terrorist organization is playing with fire in the world's most combustible land: the Middle East. No one knows Scorpia like Alex. And no one knows how best to get to Alex like Scorpia. And this time, Alex won't get away.

    Word Nerd says: "Disappointing"

I have listened to 4 hours of this just to find the same gross, STUPID MI6 People pulling Alex around and Alex taking it. I Had hoped that Mr. Horowitz would give us something new. But no. We get a rewarmed plot full of train wrecks.

How is it possible for British Intelligence NOT to know that a MAJOR criminal ecapes from prison?? Dose Mr Horowitz think WE are that dumb?? Lost interest after this. I am sure that Mr. Horowitz will pull something out of this, but for me I am tired of this same thing. And Killing Jack to get the story going was in poor taste.

I am sure that this review will not be well received, but for the last book, that Audible had us wait for, I just expected better.

  • Mockingjay: The Final Book of The Hunger Games

    • UNABRIDGED (11 hrs and 43 mins)
    • By Suzanne Collins

Against all odds, Katniss Everdeen has survived the Hunger Games twice. But now that she's made it out of the bloody arena live, she's still not safe. The Capitol is angry. The Capitol wants revenge....

    Sumit G. says: "Conflicting Emotions"
    "Read Gregor as well"

Suzanne Collins does not wright nice books. She wrights books that make you think about then for a long, long time after. Admit it all you that put bad reviews. Read the Greagor books and you will be in no doubt the Ms Collins WANTS her reader to learn from the story she tells. The ending is well done and perfect for the story. Enjoy a well done series.

Amazon Customer says: "Great listen!!! Highly recommended!"
    "good book"

This READER IS TERRIBLE. I know that a lot of people did not like Jesse Bernstein but this guy has NO range at all. All of the people sound the same. IF he puts a voice on it is a lazy Canadian. I knew we we have a new reader but this guy is just plain BAD.

  • The Time Paradox: Artemis Fowl, Book 6

    • UNABRIDGED (8 hrs and 54 mins)
    • By Eoin Colfer
    • Narrated By Nathaniel Parker
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Twelve-year-old Artemis Fowl is a millionaire, a genius, and, above all, a criminal mastermind. But even Artemis doesn’t know what he’s taken on when he kidnaps a fairy, Captain Holly Short of the LEPrecon Unit. These aren’t the fairies of bedtime stories; these fairies are armed and dangerous.

Kellea says: "Not narrated by Nathaniel Parker"

Enn Ritell completely destroyed this book!!!! I am listening to Mr. Parker and have to say that this is a completely different book. WHY DID AUDIBLE have such a hard time giving us the correct book. Why are they NOT giving us the books we want?? I tried to buy the from the UK site and could not.

The book is wonderful and Nathaniel Parker is a Gem.

  • Graceling

    • UNABRIDGED (12 hrs and 31 mins)
    • By Kristin Cashore
    • Narrated By David Baker, Chelsea Mixon, Zachary Exton
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Set in a world where some people are born with a Grace - a unique, sometimes uncanny, gift - this is the story of Katsa, whose Grace, demonstrated at an uncomfortably early age, is for killing. This makes her a perfect tool for her uncle, King Randa But Katsa chafes at the way she is being used - and even more at the injustices she sees around her. Then she meets Prince Po, who has a Grace to match hers...

    Kari says: "Outstanding first novel!"

I got this book because of the VERY mixed reviews.

First I believe that no book should be banned for any reason.

That said some books are not appropriate for all readers.

To the people that got hung up about the "sex" scene.

The characters in this book are ADULTS. And Katsa is an assassin!!!! She has the emotion of what she is. Death on two legs.

Poe is the First person to show her any feelings at all.

To those again that went on and on about the sex scene YOU ruined a very good book for me, I kept saying "so when is this going to happen?" And it must be graphic and I really was afraid it would be, the way some had it sound, it would be pornographic. It was not. When it did happen it was in very good taste and wright for the time.

The book is PREFORMED like a play with many actors. Some may not like this, I do. It was well written and well preformed, and the story is very good.

It should not be shocking to have a strong female lead as most of the rubbish on TV is so poorly done.

I recommend Garth Nix"'s Sabriel for more of the same.

  • Unseen Academicals: Discworld #32

    • UNABRIDGED (12 hrs and 42 mins)
    • By Terry Pratchett
    • Narrated By Stephen Briggs
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Football has come to the ancient city of Ankh-Morpork - not the old-fashioned, grubby pushing and shoving, but the new, fast football with pointy hats for goalposts and balls that go gloing when you drop them. And now, the wizards of Unseen University must win a football match, without using magic, so they're in the mood for trying everything else.

Benny S says: "Another good book from Pratchett"

I Love Terry Pratchett and the diskworld. But this is just BAD. NO humor, NO plot, NO STORY!!!!! I am 4 hours into this and am bored to tears. Stepen Briggs is doing his best but good grief there is not a lot to work with here. I hope that when I finish this I can edit my review to say it got at least ok.

  • Araminta Spookie, Books 3 & 4: Frognapped & Vampire Brat

    • UNABRIDGED (4 hrs and 51 mins)
    • By Angie Sage
    • Narrated By Katherine Kellgren

When something's amiss in Spookie House, there's usually only one person to blame: Araminta. But this time she had nothing to do with the disappearance of Barry Wizzard's frogs, and she is determined to find them. Of course, it's not going to be that easy, especially when dealing with a crazy character named Old Morris, a dangerous shark, and a demanding aquarium show audience. Can Araminta find the frogs and steal the show?

    Ann says: "Kid's daily life"
    "Lots of fun"

This series is for young children.....But Katherine Kellgren makes this book so much fun I listen to it all the time. She makes the characters especially Araminta Spookie so much fun. She lives in a house that is haunted (sort of), with a vampire (Sort of) with and family of wizards (sort of) and ghosts (sort of), and her AUNT really. GOOD fun Love BIG BAT

  • The Sorcerer of the North: Ranger's Apprentice, Book 6

    • UNABRIDGED (9 hrs and 27 mins)
    • By John Flanagan
    • Narrated By John Keating

Years have passed since Will led his people to victory in The Battle for Skandia, and now he oversees a peaceful fief in the south. Will's quiet days come to a sudden end, however, when troubling news arrives from the north. The king has been poisoned, and Will's abilities are desperately needed to track down the culprit - who's rumored to be an evil wizard.

    Wayne says: "Great Book"
    "Great Book"

John Keating's reading brings this book to life. He has been the narrator for the rest of the series and has all of the characters seem like people you may know in life.

I was glad that Audible has this to offer. I am just sorry that I had to buy the book again to get the correct reader.

  • The Graveyard Book

    • UNABRIDGED (7 hrs and 47 mins)
    • By Neil Gaiman
    • Narrated By Neil Gaiman
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Why we think it’s a great listen: Gaiman’s not just an award-winning author, but a narrator who earns rave reviews – and fields requests from other authors to perform their books, too! Nobody Owens, known to his friends as Bod, is a normal boy. He would be completely normal if he didn't live in a sprawling graveyard, being raised and educated by ghosts, with a solitary guardian who belongs to neither the world of the living nor of the dead....

    Paula A Ford says: "Delightful!"
"MUCH better then last years winner"

    Whaa Hoooo

I have saved this review for a good reason.

Congratulations Neil Gaiman for winning HANDS DOWN the Audible book of the year!!!!!

What A shame that audible did not comment on this remarkable achievement. Winning this event with out any real competition should tell you all you need to know about this book. Mr. Gaiman dose not write "cookie" cutter books.

His type of writing has not been seen in a long time. Concise, to the point, and riddled with humor.

The Graveyard Book is about a murder and a small boy that is raised in a graveyard, by ghoasts. Mr. Gaiman tells a storey that is so believable that at the end you do believe that this is not only possible but plausible.

    Thanks for this great book.
