One choice can transform you - or it can destroy you. But every choice has consequences, and as unrest surges in the factions all around her, Tris Prior must continue trying to save those she loves - and herself - while grappling with haunting questions of grief and forgiveness, identity and loyalty, politics and love.

Lore says: "Decent but not as interesting as Divergent"

What made the experience of listening to Insurgent the most enjoyable?

I literally have no words to describe how amazing this series is... I love where Insurgent is going and can't wait to see how the series will ends!

And the icing on the cake is Emma Galvin. She is a perfect fit and I hope to hear more of her narrations.

In Beatrice Prior's dystopian Chicago, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue - Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is - she can't have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself.

For 35 girls, the Selection is the chance of a lifetime: the opportunity to escape the life laid out for them since birth... to be swept up in a world of glittering gowns and priceless jewels... to live in a palace and compete for the heart of gorgeous Prince Maxon. But for America Singer, being Selected is a nightmare. It means turning her back on her secret love with Aspen, who is a caste below her, and leaving her home to enter a fierce competition for a crown she doesn't want.

What did you love best about The Selection?

Audible said this new book was a cross between: Hunger Games, Cinderella, and The Bachelor... and they were right! The book was very cute and a refreshing change to my normal YA reads.

    Any additional comments?

    TWO things that bothered:
The narrator.. she was very dry and flat.
Waiting for the next book in the trilogy.

A smashing, award-winning debut novel that introduces Charley Davidson: part-time private investigator and full-time Grim Reaper. Charley sees dead people. That’s right, she sees dead people. And it’s her job to convince them to “go into the light”. But when these very dead people have died under less than ideal circumstances (i.e. murder), sometimes they want Charley to bring the bad guys to justice. Complicating matters are the intensely hot dreams she’s been having about an Entity who has been following her all her life...and it turns out he might not be dead after all.

    Maggie says: "Loved this audiobook!"
    "LOVE IT"

I purchased this book.. while it was a featured book.. and I DON'T regret it! I highly recommend this book and hope there is a book 2! I want to know what happens to Charley Davidson! Last chapter was HOT! Drool
