Touching, Funny, Infuriating
Don't know that I can think of another book that is similar off the top of my head.
His interpretation of Holden is a bit 'Paul Lyndeish' and sometimes annoying. I was wondering if the character was supposed to be voiced that way.
Most of the moments involving Adam's insight. I love how sensitive and open he is. When he declared his love for Holden, I melted.
I hope there are more in this series and I would love to have Shannon narrate again. No more voices like Holden's though.
I have the print version but have not read it.
I liked how the characters didn't play games. They discussed the reasons for the marine not coming out while in high school, the intent was stated, and they got down to business because they knew that there wasn't much time for them to be together.
I liked Liam. Funny, professional, out and proud.
I liked that Liam wanted his own marine sculpture.
Would love more m/m narrated by Mr. Lewis. I'd also like a full length story about these two gentlemen.
Gritty, suspenseful, addictive.
When Nick realizes he really loved Harker.
Can't pinpoint just one.
Nick. He is smart and stupid at the same time. I keep wondering when he's going to wise up and stop being so clueless about what's going on around him. (No spoilers)
Can't wait for the 5th audiobook.
Hot, sensual, sexy.
Too many to specify.
He is a great narrator with a varied range of voices. He tells the story rather than reads it. He also makes you believe that passion is genuine and all of the sex scenes are realistic and not over the top. He's one of my go to narrators when it comes to m/m romance or erotica.
The story about Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson was particularly hot.
Writers, if you want your audio book to sell, please pay attention to who narrates your stories. They can make or break your book. Whomever chooses Mr. Gunn, you need to give him more work. He definitely brings his 'A' game to anything he performs.
I love the way that every one that deserves something good gets something good and that the bad guys get their comeuppance. Glen and Tyler are awesome characters and I would love to have friends like them.
I like the fact that they helped Mary and Effie when they had nowhere to turn.
Yes. The first Glen and Tyler book. It's just as good.
Hurry up with the next one!
I love the interaction between Cay and Drew. The listening heightens the experience - its better than a movie!
I really like Caleb. He stood by Andrew no matter what. It would have been very easy for him to judge and point out that Drew was mimicking his mother's destructive behavior but he never did. Outside of having issues about his own body, Caleb seemed to be a well balanced individual. Such a good friend.
Mr. Morey is very comfortable with these characters. I like the way he narrates. There were some engineering glitches at times but overall, I can't see anyone else narrating Cardeno's books.
Sometimes the obvious is not so obvious....
Good addition to my collection.
I don't think so. The book is a bit simplistic, but when I saw that Mr. Gunn was narrating it, I automatically bought it. He's one of my go to narrators.
This time around I could barely tolerate his characterizations. The voices were quite grating and nothing like he usually does. Doesn't seem like he was interested in what he was reading. I love his other work though.
If you want to hear better from Mr. Gunn, try listening to the L. B. Gregg stories that he narrates. I won't totally give up on this author, but will choose more carefully next time.
This book is different from most of the m/m I read (listen to). Even though the situations were fantastical at best, I love how Glen and Tyler interact with each other and the rest of the characters. The positive messages this book has really made me smile all the while I was listening to it. Love the humor and humanity throughout. It was quite refreshing. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I enjoyed it.
Glen and Tyler of course. They are both so likeable, funny and smart.
I liked Brian's accents and the way he differentiated all of the character's voices.
Yes, but couldn't.
I hope the author writes the next story soon. I also wouldn't mind a bit more spice in the books.
This is one of the best werewolf stories I've come across. Gory without being gruesome, and I really feIt for the protagonist. I read it quite a few years ago and found out that another book of these authors came out in audiobook format a few months ago. I emailed one of them to find out if this one would be in audio as well and never got a response. I lucked up on it last week and was super excited to get it.
I loved the rural setting, the protagonists' backstory and how he eventually came out on top. The descriptions of the supporting characters and the great music really set the tone.
If he narrated another type of story - yes. In my opinion, he wasn't a good fit for this book. I can tell that he was trying hard to mask an accent and it threw me off a bit. I think Robert Petkoff would have been a great choice.
Not sure. I think the title is fitting.
Really happy that I could listen to one of my favorite stories. It was written in 1993. That's a long time to wait.
The newer, bolder more confident Harry Dresden gives the story a great twist.
The reveal of the newest Winter Lady
His characterizations are top notch. He brings life to everyone he voices. Why this man hasn't won an Audie is beyond me.
Cold Days - Hell has really frozen over!
Keep 'em coming Jim. Kudos to you once again, James. Welcome back!
Yes. It's a feel good story for times when you want lite and loving with few,if any complications.
When Jonathan introduces Sam to David.
Mr. Morey grew on me and now when I listen to Cardeno, he's who I expect to hear.
Jonathan. I loved his open and honest way of dealing with life - mistakes and all.
