"The beginning of the end"
THis was an absolutely great book on Iran/American history. After reading this book it is clear why IRAN dislikes us. It is not hard to understand why we bacame the target of extremeists by other middle east countries given our involvement in Iran int he 1950's. I never thought that just 50 years ago the American govt would lead a covert operation to overthrow a democracy and instal a represive monarchy. But that is exactly what happened. Now I am going to go read Charlie Wilson's War to find out how we armed these people we pissed off.
"WOW, must listen"
I already have and I recommend it to everyone I talk to. I researched the references for this book and talked to people in this field (I am in the military). Not only is this plausible, it can happen just as easily as the author says. The biggest defense we have right now is that the people that possess this ability favor us right now. If that single point of failure does fail, we have no back up plan. That is why this book is so powerful.
"A book that lives up to its title"
This book is exactly what the title says...it covers all the reasons women have sex. It does this by turning a scientific research study into a very entertaining book. You will finish the book with a more well rounded understanding if your a guy and if your a girl you may finally understand why you slept with some of the guys you did. It is not a how to sleep with women book (guys), but you can learn to understand women better and if you pay attention why women sleep with certain men for certain reasons (this book covers about all of them), you can pick what motivations you want to give woman and emulate that.
Overall a great book and a great narrative, I wish they reported all scientific research studies in this format!
"Great insight"
I thought this book was going to be about a war hero and it turned out to be the philosophical difference in the American approach to terrorism and the Israel approach.
It is a great read that keeps the reader turning the page with a mix of excitement and thought provoking ideas.
The ironic part is when the author compares the two nations priorities. Drugs for example, the author illustrates how the US commits a large number of resources to drugs. Not only does every law enforcement agency from local to federal handle it, they even created a who federal agency to combat it. In contrast, Israel classifies drugs as it classifies any other illegal activity and leaves it for every law enforcement agency to handle, instead it focuses resources on terrorism because that happens on every street corner. The author asks the question, how many people will have to dies, how many terrorist strikes will have to happen in the US before anti-terrorism becomes a part of every law enforcement agency just like anti-drug enforcement has. Whether or not you agree with this comparison or not there are many other parallels the author draws, it is definitely food for thought. The reason this is such an interesting book is because he has the benefit of being an insider for both the US and Israel, serving first a elite special forces soldier in the Israel Defense Force (IDF) and now as a private consultant for many law enforcement agencies in the US.
"Long but good"
This is a very lengthy report to listyen to in its entirety but you will feel it is worth it in the end. You will have a complete picture of what happened and what the government needs to do to correct it. This is a non-partisan report. It sites fact and tell the audience clearly when the authors are making an opinion statement. I was suprised that they were able to put such a report together.
"ALmost perfect"
This is a very very good book. It explains different types of people and helps the reader understand how people think. It is always a game and those the play the game the best turn out on top. This book teaches how you can get the most out of your relationships but most importantly it teaches the reader how you can get over that intial hump of uncertainty that starts every relationship.
