The worldwide phenomenon continues as Eva and Gideon face the demons of their pasts and accept the consequences of their obsessive desires.... From the moment I first met Gideon Cross, I recognized something in him that I needed. Something I couldn’t resist. I also saw the dangerous and damaged soul inside - so much like my own. I was drawn to it. I needed him as surely as I needed my heart to beat. No one knows how much he risked for me. How much I’d been threatened, or just how dark and desperate the shadow of our pasts would become.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I would not recommend at this time. I would only recommend after the next book.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

To many things left uncovered :( it was not what I expected after reading the first two books. ?????

What about Jill Redfield’s performance did you like?

    She was great.

What would have made this romance irresistible?

It seems like she had to put out the book, and submitted what she had.

    Any additional comments?

Wait for the next book before reading this book, you will be disappointed.

I enjoyed listening to this series. I just want to say that the leading lady was too infantile for me at times, which is how Gabriel described her at one point in the first book. However, the series so far is better than FSG, none of that oh craps, teenager talk. She is shy but she has a voice. This series is worth the credits.

Enigmatic and sexy, Professor Gabriel Emerson is a well-respected Dante specialist by day, but by night he devotes himself to an uninhibited life of pleasure. He uses his notorious good looks and sophisticated charm to gratify his every whim, but is secretly tortured by his dark past and consumed by the profound belief that he is beyond all hope of redemption. When the sweet and innocent Julia Mitchell enrolls as his graduate student, his attraction and mysterious connection to her not only jeopardizes his career, but sends him on a journey in which his past and his present collide.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, I already have. I let them know that the love scenes are very discriptive. For the most part we have all experienced loving relationships with very funny moments. You know those moments that last forever.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked that the characters had real issues.

What about Becca Battoe’s performance did you like?

I liked the voices that she had for each character and her pace.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes, when they had to confront the pregnancy issue. I don't want to give too much away. However, this is a topic that can be hard to tackle in any relationship.

    Any additional comments?

I love this series. It is about romance. As I read the series, I reminisced on my own relationship with my husband. I believe that we all have that special someone that was put here for us and this series was a great reflection for me of the 16 great years of romance from my man. Ladies, if your man hasn't made you feel like you was his reason for living, I recommend that you keep on looking.

The s.x scenes were descriptive but needed so that the reader would have a true understanding of both characters and how their relationship developed. You can always fast forward or skip this part if it is too much for you. I like that the book had so many underlying discussion on topics such as safe s.x, a man being worthy of having to the woman, a man opening the car door, an unplanned pregnancy, a woman following her dreams. etc.,,

I loved the different twist and turns in the storyline. I liked the ending very much. Hearing what he was thinking when they meet made me listen to the story several more times trying to see his perspective. The author should think about writing a book 4 continuing with his perspective. I would read it!!!

The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too—but on his own terms.

Would you consider the audio edition of Fifty Shades of Grey to be better than the print version?

    Yes

What other book might you compare Fifty Shades of Grey to and why?

Pride and Prejudice; A great love story with a rich man who had to deal with his feelings for a woman that did not come from wealth with a great ending.

Pretty Woman the movie, not the book.

What about Becca Battoe’s performance did you like?

    I loved it!!!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

The many facets of finding and being in love.

If you are grieving the loss of a loved one, this book is just what you need. I lost my mom March 30, 2010 and close to a year later I was having still a hard time dealing with the fact of losing her. I went to see my doctor because I was crying almost daily, and my doctor recommended that I read this book. I am a Christian and so was my mom. I am well aware that people leave us, however she was the first person this close to me to leave, and I struggled. This book helped me to get grounded again. I can laugh again and think of her without crying, and this book was key.

I want to thank the authors of this book for sharing your lives. The narrators were excellent.
