Rachel Morgan is a runner with the Inderland Runner Services, apprehending law-breakers throughout Cincinnati. She's also a witch, one of the many Inderlanders who revealed themselves after a genetically engineered virus wiped out 50 percent of humanity. Witches, warlocks, vampires, werewolves: the creatures of dreams and nightmares have lived beside humans for centuries, hiding their powers. But now they've stopped hiding, and nothing will be the same.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

No, I kept having to rewind the story, it didn't hold my attention.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I would changed the pacing of the story, it was as if everyone was in a hurry, author, narrator..

What does Marguerite Gavin bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The narrator sounded fresh and young, which the story required

King Shrewd is dead at the hands of his son Regal. As is Fitz - or so his enemies and friends believe. But with the help of his allies and his beast magic, he emerges from the grave, deeply scarred in body and soul. The kingdom also teeters toward ruin: Regal has plundered and abandoned the capital, while the rightful heir, Prince Verity, is lost to his mad quest - perhaps to death. Only Verity's return - or the heir his princess carries - can save the Six Duchies.

What made the experience of listening to Assassin's Quest the most enjoyable?

The characters, Ms. Hobb has created a great group of living, breathing, flawed, and unforgettable characters.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Trying to pick a favorite character between Fitz and Fool and Nighteyes is like having to decide which child is your favorite, to pick one is impossible.

What does Paul Boehmer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He does a great job, he doesn't over power the story with his voice, he brings it to life. Not once I did think about the narrator as anything separate from the story.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Impossible to say without spoiling the story for others

    Any additional comments?

Please bring the Tawny Man series to Audible.

With her knack for being in trouble's way, Sookie witnesses the firebombing of Merlotte's, the bar where she works. Since Sam Merlotte is now known to be two-natured, suspicion falls immediately on the anti-shifters in the area. Sookie suspects otherwise, but her attention is divided when she realizes that her lover, Eric Northman, and his "child", Pam, are plotting to kill the vampire who is now their master. Gradually, Sookie is drawn into the plot - which is much more complicated than she knows.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

If your cleaning house or doing some mundane chore you probably would enjoy the listen. Sookie loves to clean.......

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Disappointed again, it's like Mrs. Harris has suddenly discovered her series is on HBO and is trying to drag out the plot and story as much as she can.

    Any additional comments?

I overlooked the repetitions and the silly narration in the first books, it was a good story with lovable characters. I wouldn't call it great fiction, but it was great fun and made me look forward to the next credit on my account.

But now I give up, Sookie has become just another great character destroyed by over exposure.

When Andie tries to gain closure with her ex-husband, he asks one final favor of her. A distant cousin has died and left North the guardian of two orphans. When Andie meets the two children, she realizes the situation is much worse than she feared. Carter and Alice aren’t your average delinquents, and the creepy old house where they live is being run by the worst housekeeper since Mrs. Danvers. Complicating matters is Andie’s fiancé’s suspicion that this is all a plan by North to get Andie back.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I would have gotten rid of about 100

What about Angela Dawe’s performance did you like?

She had a great way of sounding unimpressed when the character needed to...
