A very cute, light and entertaining listen.
All these "royal spyness" books are similar.
I have no idea because I haven't read any in print.
Moved me? No. These are not really very "moving" books, they're light entertainment. Sort of like watching a sitcom.
I did not like this book. I did not like the characters. I don't know why so many did like it,
I found it boring and way too long.
Enjoyable book. Fairly well developed characters and good plot. Interesting historical period.
Narrator was very good.
This could have been about half as long. Not enough plot, not enough of the story
moving, just the same thoughts and ideas and people saying the same things over
and over. No where near as good as the first in this series.
Excellent performance by Emilia Fox. Classic Christie murder mystery. I very much enjoyed listening. One of her better stories, I think.
The narrator seemed to have an Australian accent which was a bit odd but not too distracting.
No, this one was so frustrating for me because the characters were so unbelievable.
Made the plot interesting and the characters believable.
I wish I hadn't wasted a credit on this book.
I really liked this book. The British characters were all interesting and quite well done by the narrator and the author. I am interested in the Middle Ages and it was very interestingto me.However: Why, of why, must they make all Americans obnoxious and rude and demanding in so many British novels? One can only conclude that this is how they perceive us. And while this is true for some Americans, it is just not true for all of us. Couldn't we occasionally see a polite American? I guess that would be boring.
Excellent job with all the voices and accents. She overdid the horrible American voices, but she did a good job of making all the Amercians totally obnoxious, so if that is what she was trying to do, she did it well.
No, but it is way too long for that anyway.
I am definitely going to listen to the rest of this series.
No. OK light story, but probably not for a second listen. Still, passed the time for me.
No, but that's ok.
Haven't listened to any others.
They describe eating and drinking way too much for my taste.
I. Couldn't get past the awful narration, done by an American trying to do a British accent, and failing, and I just couldn't listen to it, and will return for my credit. What a shame!
I found this book easy listening and engaging, with interesting characters and wonderful scenery descriptions.
