Greed, terrorism, and simple bad luck conspire to bring mankind to its knees as a viral infection spreads out of control, reducing those infected to undead horrors that feed upon the rest. It's a time of misery and death for most, however there are some who are lucky, some who are fast, and some who are just too damned tough to go down without a fight. This is their story.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

it was ok. it was like listening to the cliff notes of a zombie story read buy some guy off the street. the good guys are good. the bad guys are bad. oh, and occasionally some dead heads mix things up.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

bad fake voices and a strange cadence.

    Any additional comments?

go ahead. get it. but only if your a z junky.

We live across the thousand dunes with grit in our teeth and sand in our homes. No one will come for us. No one will save us. This is our life, diving for remnants of the old world so that we may build what the wind destroys. No one is looking down on us. Those constellations in the night sky? Those are the backs of gods we see.

What does R. C. Bray bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

the Mountain Man books are by far some of the best Zombie horror stuff I've found so far.
it was really fun to follow the stories. its standard stuff for apocalyptic fiction but i have to say, these stories made me frightened at times. I'm the guy who's listened to all the Z fiction and for me to be up at night is saying something. so good I wanted more. and the narration is excellent!
as dark as "the Road" but with more bullets and more drinking!
    RED RYE!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Some Time books can be sort of crushing, all "paradox" this and "I went back to change it all" that.. This story is nice and simple and easy to enjoy. and that's what i did, enjoy it.
It had all the good parts about practical time travel coupled with a nice story.
    recommended.

This stand-alone work is widely regarded as Asimov's best science fiction novel. Andrew Harlan is an Eternal, a member of the elite of the future. One of the few who live in Eternity, a location outside of place and time, Harlan's job is to create carefully controlled and enacted Reality Changes. These Changes are small, exactingly calculated shifts in the course of history, made for the benefit of humankind. Though each Change has been made for the greater good, there are also always costs....

Would you listen to The End of Eternity again? Why?

This is one of Asimov good ones. His books can come off dry sometimes and i was skeptical at first. but after a little bit the story picks up and had all the timey wimey stuff i was looking for. to quote some modern Dr.who.
If you liked "The first men" this book will be a good follow up.
    enjoy

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The story had enough to enjoy and I could have stood it till the end but the narrator read like it was the news ticker. It made it hard to get through a mediocre book.

Could you see Ammon's Horn being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

    nope
