"Format limits its usefulness"
This is an excellent book, but it's limited through the functionality available with audible's player. If you could easily move to the start of the meditation pieces or lecture piece it would be more useful. If audible upgrades its player this will be a better option.
"tough subject. clever perspective. well narrated"
At first I regretted getting such a dark book but not too far into the book that shifted as I connected and began to care about the characters. The humanizing of the challenges to being a German citizen in a time of fear and dehumanizing of Jews drew me in and kept me caring.
"engaging, fun, and informative"
Never heard of bonobos until now. Very interesting and engaging way to learn and also follow the author's adventures.
"Excellent Book and great narrator"
This multifaceted magical story was a delight. It pulled me in and held my attention. The narrator was top notch.
"Excellent book all around"
The plot and characters pulled me in. The narrators were excellent. I would get another Grissom book or one narrated by these women in a flash.
"Narrator in wrong line of work"
The narrator talks as if every part of the story is urgent and as if this speed provides drama and character embodiment. It makes it very hard to enjoy the story. I would never get an audiobook w/ this narrator again. I've enjoyed every Kristin Hannah audiobook until this one.
"Excellent Source for Change"
The authors' focus on change mechanisms and their concept of the listener as both scientist and subject are compelling. They give logical ideas for change based on the work of Albert Bandura, well-known in some circles for his work on self-efficacy - a perfect springboard for this kind of book. I finished with tangible ideas for making changes in my life and access to their website to help me make those changes. My life is already better for having just finished this audiobook.
