"An interesting factual reference to eating"
If I had to write my review in 20 words or less it read like this:-
You are what you eat, the quality of carbs impact our health, facts are everywhere but sometimes an author puts them together that just makes sense.
Enjoy!
"For some a tough task master, for others a genius"
Simplify, expel,move on
Don't berate yourself
This guy is tough, in a nice kind of way. If you have a friend who is OCD they really need to listen to this as they may hate him and then learn to love him. He has a tough narration style, point blank, do it and move on - kind of like a nice army sergeant - yeah right! Anyway, if you really need to get your stuff sorted you will appreciate the tough narration.
duty sergeant meets paper clip and the paper clip wins!
"A guide to another way of learning"
Every so often you read/listen to a book and take away a few ideas that you can apply. This book made me marvel at the topic - what do all the great performers have in common - it seems that practice, fantastic coaches and being the skill you are learning are all key. Not a surprise really, but the book has twists and turns throughtout, provides a research based approach and lots of practical wisdom. I would also challenge any teacher that wants to be a fantastic resource to their students to get a copy as well.
Enjoy!
"Strangely re-assuring"
This is classic, I am having a mid life crisis kind of book and that is the way the bizarre tale tracks. A great story and god knows don't we all need a little of that sometimes.
"Fantastic"
This is a beautiful recording of a fantastic book. It is written to reflect a couple of decades of personal, physical amd philosophical challenges. An inspiring story that accurately reflects the title. It is also a historical reflection of the evolution of swimming. Enjoy!
