Highly recommend this audiobook to all Poirot fans. Great story read by the wonderful Hugh Fraser.
Think he does a wonderful job conveying Poirot
No - just solid old-fashioned mystery.
Absolutely, great fun, good mystery and the introduction of the wonderful John Ceepak.
Not so much the mystery but I absolutely loved the two main characters. It is not so intense as many other mysteries, certainly not as graphic as most, but it is very enjoyable.
This was the first and he was a great narrator.
Absolutely. It was SO easy to listen to.
I bought this when it was on sale and immediately purchased the next three in the series. Thanks Audible and all the reviewers for introducing me to this series.
Poirot of course.
As always excellent.
Yes it was, but I didn't!
Whilst many of the later books in this series were disappointing this was an excellent ending to an overall wonderful series. It was fantastic to have the pairing of Poirot and the gentle Hastings for the last mystery. If you have enjoyed Poirot you will not be disappointed.
Have recommended this book to everyone!
The realistic story telling. The many voices telling the story.
I loved them all.
Cry and then cry some more.
I normally start a new book as soon as I finish one. It took me nearly a week before I could even think about my next audible book.
I think the story. I have read most of the 'Inspector Lynley' series and really enjoy the books. This book continues the storyline of Havers & Lynley, combining the murder investigation with their personal stories seamlessly. The ending of the book has left me eager for the next chapter.
Absolutely. Great story, characters and narration.
No I haven't but I would not hesitate to buy anything where he is the reader.
I enjoy taking my time with books. Listening and then reflecting.
I came to Reginald Hill via his 'Dalzeil & Pascoe' series. So glad I found this book - to date it is the book of the year for me.
This was my first 'romance' novel & I thoroughly enjoyed it. The plot combined the past and the present seamlessly. Some of the current day characters were a bit bland - but it is the 'historical' portion of the story that really held my attention.
No spoilers - but the best scenes for me are towards the end of the book. Warning - bring your tissues!
A Highland Fling - I know not very original! This is why I read & not write.
The performance of the narrator was amazing. I honestly thought that the male Scottish roles was performed by a male narrator. Props to Rosalyn Landor for an excellent job.
Absolutely. Wonderful characters, beautifully narrated and it will make you cry.
Elizabeth Finch - a brave 16 year old who matures into a wonderful woman.
Fantastic - I would not hesitate buying a book if she is the narrator.
Murder, Love and Redemption.
My first Nora Roberts novel. Will definitely be buying others.
