"a good 3rd book"
Much better than book 2, and a nice way to end the series. Kate Simses rocks. Jack Riccobono as the character Ky is exhausting to listen to. I find myself rolling my eyes whenever he speaks. I think part of it is the performance and part of it is the character of Ky himself. There's only so much whining I can take.
"one of the better books"
This is one of the better books I've listened to in a long time. It had me hooked until the end! The second one in the series is even better.
"A great story"
This is a great story, but the narration isn't top notch. That being said, it's definitely worth a listen!
"I regret downloading this"
I regret downloading this. It's not Ray Bradbury's best and it's not narrated very well. I never finished listening to it.
"Hilarious"
So worth the listen. Samuel Jackson is absolutely hilarious. Anyone with young children in their family can relate.
"Incredible--a book everyone should listen to"
Beautifully written and narrated. Just when you think "what could possibly happen next?" something does. Zamperini's story is one that everyone should listen to.
"must listen"
I love this book. I even like it more than the first one, and I liked the first one a lot. The way it's performed and written I feel like I can see the world the characters live in. I can't wait for book 3.
"performance not as good as the first one"
Kate Simses is great, as always, but I couldn't stand Jack Riccobono. Every time he speaks as the character Ky he comes off as a whiney overly-dramatic person who is difficult to listen to. The story is good, but not as good as the first book.
"brilliant"
loved it. It is read beautifully and the story is interesting and fun. Definitely worth a listen
"Original"
One of the most original books I've read in a long time. For me it's on the same level as the book Flatland.
