After she double-crosses her lover, a ruthless crime lord, Drea must flee from a relentless assassin who ultimately succeeds in killing her. But after a very brief death, Drea returns to life a changed woman: no longer selfish and cruel, determined to bring down the ones who marked her for death. Joining forces with the FBI, little does she suspect that the man she will come to love is the same assassin who took her life.

    "A page turner!"
    Overall

I enjoyed this book. It was a page turner, I wanted to see what was going to happen next. The two main characters were flawed, but you were rooting for them.
Plus, the narrator was very good. I would highly recommend this one.

But a ruthless killer watches from the shadows--and lives to destroy her as he has destroyed her peaceful little Oregon community.

Jay says: "The worst narrator I have ever heard"
    "narration"
    Overall

The narrator can make or break a book. This is a good book with very poor narration. Very disappointing to listen to the narrator.

Being called creepy can be hard on your self-esteem - even for an attractive, independent woman like Raine Tallentyre. That's what happened when she made the mistake of revealing her paranormal abilities, bringing her most recent romantic relationship to a hasty end.

Brenda says: "Sizzle is a definite overstatment."
    "good book"
    Overall

I enjoyed this book. It held my attention through to whole book. The only drawback is the narrator's voice sounds like a munchkin when she talks in the voice of a man. It is horrible!

  • No Choice But Seduction: A Malory Family Novel

After her mother died, vivacious Katey Tyler fled her dull Connecticut town, hoping to meet her relatives in England and find adventure and romance on a grand tour of Europe. She had no idea that her life-changing travels would have both in spades - as well as danger and intrigue - when she catches the eye of ship owner Boyd Anderson and inadvertently stumbles upon a high-stakes kidnapping.

mia says: "Not Lindsey's best, disappointing Mallory novel."
    "unoriginal"
    Overall

This is another story of the Mallory family. It is alot like all of the other Mallory family books. Spends too much time talking about the history of the other characters. I would like something new from Johanna Lindsey. It has been a long time since she has written something original.
The narrator was pretty good but, the men sounded like gravel voiced seamen and the women were whiney sounding.
