If you liked the original three books in the series, you will like this one as well. Like the first three books, the world of the Imagers is getting a firmer resolution in this book. The things observed in the first three books are being gradually built and it would appear we will soon see a world very similar to the one in the first three books. We also begin to see how that world came about. If you are to enjoy this book, you should read book # 4 that lays the groundwork for what is seen in this book. Beware: This book leaves the story off at a critical point when the world of Imagers is about to see great changes (or so it seems).

This series has been interesting and I will get the final book in the series when it does become available - there is one thing, though - the humor seemed forced to me in this last book. It just appeared Sanderson is running out of ways to make the story funny and he is, well, forcing it. As I said, though, the main story is still quite interesting - I just ignored those parts that seemed force and enjoyed the story itself. If you decide to listen to this book, keep that in mind - also, read what other reviewers have to say; it may just be a case of humor mismatch-his humor in this book not matching my humor.

If you are like me and are constantly looking for an interesting series to read and you have read the greats (Sanderson's Mistborn series, his Elantris Stand alone book, his Stormlight Archives series, Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series, GRR Martin's Song of Ice and Fire series) you might want to try Lois McMaster Bujolds' Miles Vorkosigan Series. I found it interesting - you might too. Please read other reviewers to see what they think. Everything isn't for everyone. It might or mightn't be for you. The series continues to be interesting. The story is still light-hearted; still for most audiences, and still light-hearted and entertaining. It is short, though. Keep that in mind if you decide to listen to this book.

This book is not like the first 3 books. It is slower, and not as dynamic or exciting. That stated, it is still very interesting. When I first started reading this book, I was very upset - I expected the story to be at least the equal of the first 3 books. When I finally understood that this book went back some three hundred years or so to tell the beginning of integrating Imagers into the society we see in the first 3 books.If you read this book, expect to see a different world from the one in the first 3 books, different characters, and the knowledge Imagers have in the first 3 books doesn't exist yet - it is being built gradually; this means things aren't as spectacular as the first 3 books. Also, keep in mind that this book is actually the true beginning. So, there is a lot of ground work being laid for the next books to come.I truly didn't enjoy it as much as the first 3 books, but as a starting book that lays the ground work for the next books in the series, it was actually pretty good.

Yes. If you enjoyed Hexed, Hunted and Hammered, you will enjoy Tricked. The dialog was what I have come to expect of Kevin Hearne. This book is a fun listened. It was very enjoyable. It is as light-hearted as the previous books.

This book has a chapter of the next book in the series. That was a nice addition; I enjoyed the chapter.

If you are like me and are constantly looking for a new series and have done the greats - Robert Jordan (The Wheel of Time), Brandon Sanderson (The Stormlight Archives, Mistborn, Elantris, War Breaker, etc), try James Campbell's Lost Fleet Series - he has continued this series with Lost Fleet: Beyond the Frontier. So far, the new series is as promising as the Lost Fleet Series.

I recently read a series by Ilona Andrews - the first book in the series is "Magic Bites." It was an interesting series. Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer was also quite interesting.

The most memorable moments in my mind was when one of the major trouble makers came to a realization of the truth moments before being forced to kill himself.

Allyson Johnson has kept the integrity of the characters throughout the series. When I hear a dialog between characters, just from her intonation, I know which character is speaking - she has kept the voice and manner of the characters throughout the entire series. This makes the story more believable - it enhances the suspension of disbelief.

This book is another great addition to the series - The whole series is an interesting read, although all the books are not equally interesting. Some of them take patience and endurance to read, others are a joy. In all, the series is worth the time, but it takes patience. This last book was a good continuation of the series. It was interesting and continued the story well.

If you are like me and are constantly looking for a new series and have done the greats (Wheel of Time, A song of Ice and Fire by G. R. R. Martin) you might like the Dresden Files - OK, I know there are some people that really love the Dresden Files, and there are others that are turned off it after watching the series on the SciFi channel. I was one of those that wasn't really interested in reading this series at all. First, I thought the series on TV weren't interesting, so why read the books? Then I thought - who wants to read about modern wizards who live in Chicago anyway? When I ran out of series to read, I bought the first one: Storm Front. I couldn't finish it at first. But I overcame my bias and finished listening to it. I decided to try the second and third books. After the third book, I was completely hooked on the series. This series may not be for you. Then again, it may. If you can overcome some of that bias, you might find this series quite interesting. Another recent series I read that was interesting was Artemis Fowl - it was an interesting read and held my interest throughout. Yet another interesting series I recently read was: Kris Longknife - the entire series was very enjoyable.

I will say that although I enjoyed the above series as I have described, everything is NOT for everyone. Before you decide, please read other reader's comments first to see if they will be good fits for you. If you have a series you have enjoyed, please share it. Thank you.

This book is an interesting read - it doesn't rise to the greats (The Wheel of Time, A song of Ice and fire, etc) but it is engaging. It kept my interest and at the end, I wanted to know what happened next. It makes me wonder if this is a stand alone book or part of a series.

This story gave me an opportunity to imagine how it would be if men had wings and could fly. It gave me a good opportunity to share in the character's delight in flight, and to imagine myself out there in the sky - flying freely.

If you are like me and are constantly seaching for good epic fantasies and have already read all the greats (see above) and are looking for new series, you might like The Stormlight Archives: The way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson, The King Killer Chronicles: The name of the wind (#1), The Wise Man's Fear (#2) by Patrick Rothfuss, Old Man's War by John Scalzi - I really loved the light-hearted and extremely entertaining nature of this book - you may like it. I recently read a series by Elizabeth Moon that I truly enjoyed - the first book in the series was Trading in Danger, then Marque and Reprisal - and so forth.

For a long time, I would see L.E. Modesitt Jr's book: Imager on Audible and ignore it. I even read the reviews and was not very impressed. When I ran out of books that immediately grabbed my attention, I decided to give it a try - although it started out dry, I did not regret reading it at all. In fact, the story was continued recently in an interesting way - L.E. decided to go back a few hundred years to tell the origins of what is written in the series. It was very interesting. There are a lot more books that I have to share, but hopefully the above will keep you occupied for a while.

Now, although I enjoyed the above books to one degree or another, please note that everything truly isn't for everyone. Please read other reviewer's comments on the above books if you decide to try them. If there are any good series you have read, please pass them along. Thank you.

I really enjoyed listening to this book. It was an unusual book for me - I am not accustomed to reading about a female military heroine - even so, I was not disappointed. After reading this book, I had to find out what happened and eventually finished listening to the series. I was not disappointed I did that.

Other books you may like: The Chronicles of Amber (apparently an old series, but I just read it for the first time and loved it), the Riftwar saga by Raymond E. Feist (not on Audible yet, but worth reading), and Trudi Canavan's Black Magician series.

This is assuming you have already read Jim Butcher's Codex Alera series, Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn series, his Elantris stand alone book, The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan, and G. R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series (Beware - no one is sure when this series will be completed). If you haven't read this list, start with these ones.

If you have completed the above list, you might like Peter V Brett's Painted Man/Warded Man series, the Night Angel trilogy by Brent Weeks, Robin Hobb's Soldier Son trilogy, her Tawny man Series, or her Farseer trilogy.

I enjoyed all of the above series. Some of them were more enjoyable that others, so, please read other reviewers to see if they would be a good fit for you.

The plot got confusing and uninteresting. The book lost my interest at the outset and never got it back. I did not like it. The writing felt forced to me. I know this book won awards, but I did not like it.

I was disappointed with this book. I wasted my credit. I love sci-fi and fantasy. I was expecting that but I got a lot of sex,and an uninteresting story. It may get interesting later, but the first part was so boring I couldn't bear to get through it. If you are looking for something new to read, try the Lost-fleet series by Jack Campbell, Codex Alera by Jim Butcher, the Final Empire saga by Brandon Sanderson (or just his stand alone Elantris book - excellent book), that is, assuming you have already listened to the Wheel Of time series by Robert Jordan. If you haven't, then read that first.
