The death of history teacher Craig Foster devastated his young wife, who'd sent him off to work that morning with a lovingly packed lunch. It shocked his colleagues at the Upper West Side private school. And as for the 10-year-old girls who found him in his classroom in a pool of bodily fluids, they may have been traumatized for life. Lieutenant Eve Dallas, of course, is more hardened to murder cases. And this is clearly a murder case.

Margot Leitman is a genius in storytelling. I finished this book in one sitting and plan to read it again and again. This book is not only information but also entertaining. It had me laughing and thinking of how I can become a better story teller in my everyday life. I plan to continue looking into the art of storytelling. Audible 20 Review Sweepstakes Entry

When 17 year old Liv Larson and her brother are sent to separate foster homes, she becomes content with her isolation and dedicates her every breath to getting him back. After months of solitude and anti-social behavior, Liv's best friend Riley drags her to a Rooftop Party to view Icarus (the once in a lifetime solar flare) where Liv finds herself inexplicably drawn to Zander James, the mysterious boy with the crooked smile.

Would you listen to Killshot again? Why?

I wouldn't listen to it again, once is enough. I have too many other books out there to listen too.

Have you listened to any of Rhiannon Angell’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This was the first time I listened to the narrator. It was seamless and I enjoyed her.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Not really, but I did want to finish it and now I want to continue the series.

It's 1998, and for years the old First Bank of Cleveland has sat abandoned, perfectly preserved, its secrets only speculated on by the outside world. Twenty years before, amid strange staff disappearances and allegations of fraud, panicked investors sold Cleveland's largest bank in the middle of the night, locking out customers and employees and thwarting a looming federal investigation. In the confusion that followed, the keys to the vault's safe-deposit boxes were lost.

This book had promise but did not come through at all. There was too much loose ends. The characters were not relateable. Many unnecessary and stupid decisions for someone who was smart (I'm looking at you, Iris). Disappointed.

It's just a small story really, about, among other things, a girl, some words, an accordionist, some fanatical Germans, a Jewish fist-fighter, and quite a lot of thievery. Set during World War II in Germany, Markus Zusak's groundbreaking new novel is the story of Liesel Meminger, a foster girl living outside of Munich. Liesel scratches out a meager existence for herself by stealing when she encounters something she can't resist: books.

The resilience and strength of doing the right thing when doing wrong is so much easier.

A story of a thief, a boxer, her papa, and death. A story that will take you on a journey in time where there is so much hate and devastation all around you, but the a small light of hope and love gives you strength to continue on. The author is brilliant in the way the story is told, you get caught off guard when the narrator tells you the end of the story at the beginning. It was a great read.

Off to watch the movie...glad I read the story first!

The Warden does it again! A great installment to the BDB. I tried to hold out in reading this because I didn't want it to end (True?). I couldn't give it a 5 star because I felt that ending did not do justice to the story itself. There was so much I was hoping for (do not want to put spoilers in this, so we will leave it at), but all in all another awesome BDB!

One is living life apart from God, in comfortable corporate America; the other is living for Christ under intense persecution in China. This challenging book will convince readers to live in the light of eternity.
