We found paradise. Now what? Student Paul Kostakis has caught the attention of Ludo, an Artificial Intelligence obsessed with games and stories. In return for a few little favors, she's offering "brain uploading". She can fatally dice your brain, scan it, and recreate you in a virtual-reality heaven she controls. You can do anything in there: become a griffin, upgrade your mind, fall in love, or go mad. When Paul accepts Ludo's offer, sooner than he would've liked, he learns that people can find real problems even in a digital world.

A pretty wide sweeping story about the beginning of humans migrating to a digital lives. The one way upload made me squeemish reading the book. The narration was well performed and allowed me to focus on the story. I liked the story. The uncomfortable moral and ethical issues were handled well and a focus of the book.

Things are not well within the Lodrak Empire. An entire city goes up in smoke and ash, and an entire province is slowly being consumed by an ever-expanding cloud of death. But while the humans rally to contain the fallout of this disaster, they are much quicker to pin the blame for it on their elven neighbors to the north. With centuries' worth of strife and bad blood between the two nations flaring up, all out war is rapidly becoming an inevitability.

I love the Everybody loves large chests series. Boxxy is the best. Jeff Hays does a great job bringing Boxxy and the rest of the world of crazy characters to life. I also love the whole Carl and Demons R Us bit. My only negative here is that I'm not fond of some of the sound effects, especially the glitched description text. I also support the author (in a token way) on Patron).

A dog's life in the south of France. From puppyhood, Sirius the Pyrenean Mountain Dog has been trying to understand his humans and train them with kindness. How this led to their divorce he has no idea. More misunderstandings take Sirius to Death Row in an animal shelter, as a so-called dangerous dog learning survival tricks from the other inmates. During the twilight barking, he is shocked to hear his brother's voice but the bitter-sweet reunion is short-lived. Doggedly, Sirius keeps the faith. One day, his human will come.

This very much reminded me of listening to an Alexander McCall Smith audio book. I thought Ian walker gave Sirius's honesty voice. The author gave me a chance to look at the world through a fresh pair of eyes. The full range off emotions are covered. I thought the book/narrator matchup was excellent. I'll listen to this one many times.

Goth narrators are great. Justin James narration is like a warm hug for me. I read the eBook and liked that its complete in itself. A bit ready player one, a bit goblet of fire. The narrators complement the story well. I'm sure this will be a go to audio book for years to come.

Day in and day out, he shuts off his brain, keeps his head down, and goes about doing his job and minding his own business. That is, he does until a drunken god shows up randomly one day and whisks him off into another world, demanding that Lee serve as his pawn in a game between the gods. Now, trapped in a completely different world full of danger, magic, and creatures, Lee has to figure out how to stay alive long enough to make it back home.

Love the voiding, wife and I both though the narrator vm oice sounded like Sam Eliot. I really got into the story. The MC seems like a good everyman. The fatter I went alomhg the more I wanted. May end being my favorite Charles Dean book.

When Edward is swept into the world of Ivalis as a Dungeon Lord, the Dark's most powerful servant, he has no servitude in mind. He'll oppose the evil plans of the Dark god, Murmur, whatever it takes. Through only his wits and his guts to help him survive a weakened arrival, Edward must rise to power if he is to earn the right to live another day. But in the battle between Dark and Light, what can Edward choose if both sides are cruel, uncaring monsters?

The dark side recruits a experienced gamer to be a new Dungeon Lord. Interesting mix of stuff from across the LitRPG genre a bit of portal, a bit of dungeon core (Lord). I had a little trouble following the very beginning (prologue?). The rest of the story flowed well. Jeff Hays did a great narration and Annie Ellicott did great creepy monster voices. The little batlin was my favorite. I'll listen to the next one when it comes out.

Jeff Hays did all the parts on the first 3 books. I think Laurie Winkel upped the game this time, having them both read gave depth to the story. N. E. Conneely gave us a wonderful world of magic, elves, and witches. I like the odd couple a plucky young witch and the world worn elf partner. A heck of a magic brawl / witch clan meeting is quite the show. All of these audio books are a treat.

An NPC story. With her pain potions in short supply, Maddie accepts a deadly run, picks up a package in Trox City, and crosses the desert plains to Port Troli. The only issues - an unwanted passenger and Tromoal breeding season.

Andrea Parsneau brings extra punch to an emotionally gripping story. I liked the voicing of both the main character and several male characters. By the end of this I was caught by where's the next part as I can tell even with all the characters have faced getting here, the real adventure is just starting. Congrats to both the author and narrator. I think this is a great match.
