"Another great Metatropolis Series"
After hooked on the first series of Metatropolis, I had to also listen to the sequence. It's great to catch up with some of the characters from the initial series and to see how things developed. Each story is brilliant, filled with many inventive details, that are scarily likely to develop at the same time. Metatropolis Cascadia plays entirely in the USA/Canadian area, it would be interesting to read Metatropolis stories from other parts of the world.
"Brilliant"
A truly brilliant series of stories, great plots, topics, characters and narrators. Each story is very different, yet plays in the same 'future'. Although things are different then, the characters come across as people like you and me. The future scenario is scarily realistic in some aspects. I'd love to read a sequence to the stories. Although I've read the second series Metatropolis Cascadia, it would be great to pick up from the time where Metatropolis left off, have a 'in-between' stories series or to even have a stories series playing around 10 years before Metatropolis. Anyway, I recommend the read.
"Get you hanging for the next"
As a not so 'read' Star Wars fan, the story starts quite a while after the 'Return of the Jedi'. Nevertheless it's quite an engaging story. Marc Thompson is a great narrator. The fate of the jedi series gives us a glimpse of what happened in the past. It tells us of the new threats and allies. As the first of the series it's obviously only the start of more things to come. I am looking forward to more jedi adventures and new planets .. with old and new foes and friends.
"Wish I had been there"
A great capture of some great actors. Simply fun to listen to - as someone liking Star Trek. Leonard Nimoy is absolute brilliant int his - as is John de Lancie. Wish I had been there in the audience.
"So much more than an alien story"
Listened to it as a fan of science fiction (and yes, Star Trek) but this is such a surprising deep novel and twisting story. There's always something new and unexpected happening. Plus it touches quite serious topics. Everything is light but not surficial. Maybe I'll buy that book and read it. That's how much I liked it. And it works really well with the (one) narrator. I'm kind of a fan of audio theater, but it does not affect this book at all.
Highly recommendable!
