This is a good book for the platform of an up coming Presidential candidate. No matter what side your on this is a good read and sound advice on a large scale (economic, trade, healthcare), but should be taken with a grain of salt on social issues.
Great book, really pulls you into the action like your there experiencing it yourself. It really makes the story personal.
I have listened to several books, this is the best I've heard. The articulation in the narrators voice, and the use of different voices for each character was amazing. I even shed a tear at one point. It really put a human touch on 150 yr old history. Loved it.
I had read this book a few years back and loved it. The narration is terrible, slow reading, pregnant pauses that could produce triplets, time could be cut down by 30% with proper editing. However I still rated it high because I do love the book it self.
Brought some long sought explanations for the decisions he made, and the back story behind them. I'll admit, I was a fan of George Bush, but questioned some of his reasoning (still do). But to here his side of it put a lot of it into perspective.
I have read this book complete on two occasions and have referred to it on numerous other occasions, but to hear it for the first time brought a whole new level of conceptualism to my mind. Even my wife has found it useful in raising our children.
