"The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo Trilogy"
I have almost completed the trilogy now and I find that I am delaying getting to the end. That is how I know how enjoyable it has been to listen to these books. The story is remarkable and the narration is excellent. One of the best audible books ever!
"Disappointing!"
The single voice used in this recording is difficult to keep focussed on. I often lost track of where I was in the story and also found it repetitive.
"I just couldn't get through this one!"
I tried hard and I hardly ever give up on a book but there were just too many names and too many connections in this book without enough story. Perhaps if I had read a paper version I could have kept all the characters straight but in the audible version this was a bust for me!!
"A variety of narrators is always a plus."
I enjoyed listening to the different narrators and the story is classic Picoult - engaging and thought provoking but what made this novel special for me was all the information about the lives of wolves. This is definitely one of her best!
"Poor description"
I did not enjoy this book. The description did not really match the book. I would not have chosen it if I had known how much fantasy was in it. The story is also hard to follow.
"Lengthy but intriguing."
It took me quite awhile to get engaged with this book but in the end I found it a very interesting "read." I enjoyed hearing the different narrators although there were a couple of readers who could have been better cast. It is still a very interesting expose on adolescence angst, English private schools and how different people are affected by one person's actions.
"Cutting for Stone"
I have been listening to audio books for quie a few years now and this is one of the best!!! I am now nearing the end of it and I am trying not to listen to it so often. A sure fire sign that is is an amazing book and exceptionally well read.
