"Good intro to Faulkner"
I think having The Sound and the Fury read to me helped immensely with my understanding of this complex story by Faulkner. Because it is written in an unconventional way, Gardner's reading made clear immediately what Faulkner was attempting to accomplish. I think I would have been confused had I been strictly reading the text.
"Performance was great"
Frank Muller was superb. I am so grateful to have him read me this long, tedious tale. He breathed life into an otherwise deadly dull story.
"Good though Obscure Fairytale"
I needed a quick refresher on this old story for a project I was working on. Thank you for reading it to me, Paul Eggington. Hurray for multi-tasking!
"Love Neil Gaiman"
Thank you for this Halloween freebie, Neil Gaiman. My family and I enjoyed listening to it.
"Thought Provoking Excitement"
I read this book several years ago. This was a good refresher as I prepare to read the sequels.
"Elijah Wood's reading was excellent!"
I really enjoyed Eijah Wood's reading of this classic. What an amazing range he has. Of course the story stands in a league of its own, and always has.
"I enjoyed unwind"
I thought that this story was original and compelling, and Luke Daniels did a good job of reading it.
"Amazing story"
Historically accurate, engrossing tale of North American immigrants before the revolutionary war. The interview with Toni Morrison at the end was especially good.
"Love Joe Morton"
Dense story, but it's a classic. What really made this story for me was Joe Morton's wonderful reading.
"The Delta Wedding was a Treat"
Sally Darling did a wonderful job of reading Delta Wedding by Eudora Welty. I was sad when it ended because I had come to love the sound of Sally Darling's voice. She captured the slow southern drawl perfectly. That made the reading take a while, but it was all the more enjoyable for that.
