I found little to recommend Ask For It. The story line was thin, the characters' actions unbelievable, and the content too sexually graphic for my taste.
If you want to read a Fifty Shades of Grey wanna-be series, then you will probably enjoy this one by Sylvia Day much better than I did.
I haven't read a Nora Roberts trilogy in at least 5 years, but the Inn BoonsBoro Trilogy reminded me why I like her writing so much. I would recommend all three books in the trilogy. The characters are well developed and the relationships that are formed are deep and abiding. I especially like the auxillary characters and the sense of family in these books. All three are very entertaining.
Courtney Milan writes with depth and sensuality. The storyline draws you in and the characters are developed with interesting layers of vulernability. Add to that the rich and expressive voice of Rebecca De Leeuw and you've got a winner! I purchased the othe two books in the series and am enjoying those just as much as Unveiled.
I really enjoyed Pride and Passion. There was intrigue, mystery, romance and passion, and I really wanted the two central characters to find their happily ever after. However, the hero in Temptation and Twilight is a bit too debauched for my liking and doesn't appear to have a good reason to have become so disdainful. On the other hand, the heroine is charming, intelligent and resourceful. All in all, Temptation and Twilight was a disappointing sequel to Pride and Passion.
Beast is a different spin on the age old fairy tale, Beauty and the Beast. Even though you know the hero and heroine will find their way together by the end of the story, you want to continue to listen to how they finally get there. Barbara Rosenblat is a genius at creating a unique voice for each of the characters. If you like romance, I recommend this book.
Ms. Feathestone has delivered a book of equal parts mystery and passion. In particular, the love scenes are vivid and enticing. The narrator, Rebecca de Leeuw, is absolutely perfect with subtle but effective changes in her voice to denote the different characters. However, the ending is truly a "cliff hanger" and I don't believe there is a sequel. Absolutely wonderful until the end.
