Please don't use one narrator for these stories!!!!! These character's already have voices that readers are familiar with from these great writers. The choice made to use ONE, MALE narrator was all wrong!!!! Ruined works of writers I have grown to adore!

Nursing school prepared Edie Spence for a lot of things. Burn victims? No problem. Severed limbs? Piece of cake. Vampires? No way in hell. But as the newest nurse on Y4, the secret ward hidden in the bowels of County Hospital, Edie has her hands full with every paranormal patient you can imagine - from vamps and were-things to zombies and beyond. Edie’s just trying to learn the ropes so she can get through her latest shift unscathed. But when a vampire servant turns to dust under her watch, all hell breaks loose.

I must say that I purchased this book not really knowing what to expect. The reviews on it were mixed. I have to say it was great! So much so that I was downloading book two before I finished the first. There are wereanimals, shape shifters, vampires and some really cool new creatures. There was humor, sex, great dialog and great characters. The narration is perfect for the characters in the story. I have already finished book two and I am REALLY hoping that there will be MORE! Worth the credit or the price. I'll be looking for more by this author :)

Agent Franks of the U.S. Monster Control Bureau is a man of many parts - parts from other people, that is. Franks is nearly seven feet tall and all muscle. He's nearly indestructible. Plus he’s animated by a powerful alchemical substance and inhabited by a super-intelligent spirit more ancient than humanity itself. Good thing he’s on our side. More or less.

I've been enjoying this series since book one. It combines all my favorites. There are monsters, epic battles, explosions, humor, lovable characters and great adventures. It's well worth the credit and or the price anytime! I do suggest that you start with book one in this series because I wouldn't want anyone to be denied the total MHI experience. It's a fun ride :)

There are reasons we fear the night. He isn't one of them. Bill Ryder was a dateless dweeb...then he died. Unfortunately for him that was just the beginning of his troubles. He awoke to find himself a vampire, one of the legendary predators of the night. Unfortunately for him, he was still at the bottom of the food chain. Now he finds himself surrounded by creatures stronger, deadlier and a whole lot cooler than he is. Worst yet, they all want him dead...permanently this time.

Cassie Forrest isn't surprised to learn that the day she’s decided to get her life together is also the day the world ends. After all, she’s been on a self-imposed losing streak since her survivalist parents died: she’s stopped painting, broken off her engagement to Adrian and dated a real jerk. Rectifying her mistakes has to wait, however, because Cassie and her friends have just enough time to escape Brooklyn for her parents’ cabin before Bornavirus LX turns them into zombies, too.

What an absolutely great story! Narrator was PERFECT, characters were awesome, story was seamless. Perfect zombie tale, but so much more. Emotion filled book. I loved, hated, feared, laughed and cried. This author has done a wonderful job with this one and whoever choose the narrator did their job ten fold. Worth a credit or the price. I'll be revisiting this again and following this author for more!

There's potential, but it not only fell flat, it struggled so painfully, if I could have shot it to put it out of it's misery, I would have. Really, really awful. I listened to the very end just to try & find a single moment of redemption....there was none. Narration was bad, also. So sad! Whining lead character, tepid dialogs & plot. Won't be listening to any more by this author. Sorry, not worth my credit or the price. I gave 2 stars because the author actually wrote, though very poorly and the narrator showed up for work those days.....

In one day, the world succumbed to a pestilence that decimated the living. In its place rose a new species: vicious, gruesome, wandering zombies with an insatiable hunger for the living. There is no government. No shelter. No hope.

Humanity has spent its time enjoying the peace that can only be had through blissful ignorance. For centuries, stories of things that go "bump" in the night have been passed down and shared. When creatures of the night proved to be real, the best of America 's military came together to form an elite band of rapid-response teams. Their mission: To face the challenge and keep the civilian populace safe from those threats and hide all evidence of their existence.

I did enjoy this story & I will download the next once it's available. It reminds me of the Monster Hunters series, which I really enjoy, also. I have one complaint which is about the sound effects in between each section. I felt it was distracting and disrupted the flow of the story & narration. I'm really hoping the next book will leave that out. Other than that, I'm looking forward to seeing where this story goes :)

I am rarely so harsh on a book, but this one greatly disappointed me. The narration was terrible, not that she didn't have a pleasant enough voice, but the characterizations and the flow of the dialoge were so lacking. There was no difference between character's voices, male or female, young or old, etc.....just reading, not storytelling, and very irritating reading at that. The stories are rushed, more in an effort to squeeze a plot, mostly very thin and lacking plots, inbetween what was sad to mediocre sex scenes. Worth my credit, No, worth the cash, No.... Enough said

Welcome back. You are about to be taken back to the first day of the outbreak. There are over a million people in the city of Waterloo, Dan Williamson is just one of them. Meet Dustin Barnes, not the typical protagonist, he’s a post-apocalyptic cockroach, the sort of guy that will do anything in order to survive, and he’s on a collision course heading north to New Castle.

This was book 2 of a zombie tale I had already enjoyed part one of. Let me say that it was a wonderful addition! Great characters, some from book one that I was already fond of as well as some new ones. Narration was spot on with same narrator from book 1 making transition into book 2 seamless. Well paced story, humor & a lot on interesting turns. A fun adventure! REALLY enjoyed these two books. Well worth the credit or the price. I'll be revisiting both books again & keeping an eye out for more by this author.

To the uninitiated, Savannah shows only her bright face and genteel manner. Those who know her well, though, can see beyond her colonial trappings and small-city charm to a world where witchcraft is respected, Hoodoo is feared, and spirits linger. Mercy Taylor is all too familiar with the supernatural side of Savannah, being a member of the most powerful family of witches in the South. Despite being powerless herself, of course. Having grown up without magic of her own, in the shadow of her talented and charismatic twin sister, Mercy has always thought herself content.

This was a good story. Narration was great for characters. I'd like to say it was a five star, but it dragged at times. I have ordered book two because it was worth following the story . I'm not biting at the bit for story two, but I'm sure I'll at least enjoy seeing where the author goes with it. Witches, ghosts, voodoo with a backdrop of southern coastal mysticism.
