history, entertaining and enjoyable
This is a great example where a history lesson can be entertaining and enjoyable
No one else. Mr. Ballerini did all he could to handle this exhaustive narrative
I have recommended this book to friends and acquaintances. It is such a wonderful read (listen). This was not only an entertaining story it gave a great picture of all kinds of relationships. It was well written, extremely well performed and will be my choice to lead at our book club gathering. C. from Virginia
A few books ago, I had the pleasure of listening, for the first time, to a Donna Leon book --"Willful Behavior". It was great - both the story and the performance by narrator Steven Crossley. I was hooked. I hurriedly downloaded Leon's "A Sea of Trouble" but was very disappointed with the performance of David Colacci. So disappointed, in fact, I could not get through an hour of listening. To me the pace was slow and bumbling . I will seek further Leon books read by Crossley or visit the library for the written text.
This was my first Donna Leon book. As always before purchasing an Audible book, I first listen to the narrator and then read the reviews. I saw where there was much criticism for Stenen Crossley's narration. I found both the author and NARRATOR a refreshing and positive listen. I will miss Mr. Crossley's narration in my next Donna Leon book.
