"Good book with terrible ending"
The ending of this book was just terrible. It totally ruined a good book. Dan Brown is known for his payoff at the end of a book and this one just fell flat. I gave it three stars for the fact that i did enjoy the body of the book, but the end was just horrid.
"Better than the last one"
I had to get this because I'm such a fan of the show. This got back to the heart of "Dexter" - and it was okay, but I can't say that I HAD to listen to it. It was slow and hardly engaging - but it was MUCH better than the last one (which isn't saying much).
"Very good listen"
This book was like the movie in the fact that the characters were named the same - oh and the title was the same. This book is MUCH better than the movie. 4 stars from me is like 5 from someone else. I really enjoyed the book and looked forward to listening to it - which is a good measure for me.
"Steven Weber is AWESOME!!!!"
This is a mondo long book - and without someone like Steven Weber to breathe life into the characters and really commit to the story - I don't know if it would have translated into audio form. This gets 5 stars just for the way Steven Weber read it - much less the incredible story.
"Started slow - but ended breathless"
I love the Reacher books - I'm on the edge of my seat until October when we find out what happens. Great book that started very slow but really took off about a quarter to a third of the way through.
"Audio quality quite poor"
This book had poor audio quality with the words clipping off. If it weren't for that, I think this is a 4 star book. It was good and kept me listening, but they sped up the voice or tried to eliminate space between his words and they clipped quite often. If that kind of stuff doesn't bother you, get it...otherwise go to Amazon and order the actual book and read it, you'll like it better.
"What's the point?"
Dreadfully awful. I wanted to like this and I think that David Colacci breathed as much life into it as possible. I gave it two stars for the narration, but that's pretty much the only positive thing about this book.
"Very good book"
This book was really good. I didn't HAVE to pick up my iphone to keep listening, but I liked it. It was a really good book and worth the credit.
"Decent but drones on"
This isn't Baldacci's best work. It's almost like he was trying too hard to make London likable. It honestly could have been condensed and made a little better. I liked it, but didn't love it. 3 stars.
"Five Stars even with the right wing slant"
This was a tremendous book. I wasn't really happy with the lightly veiled right wing slant (the heroine was an unabashed republican who opposed the Bill Clinton cartoon of a villian - the voice even sounded like him). But trust me, even the Frank Carvell's and Sean Hannity's of the world could forget about politics with this tremendous book. I have never rated a fiction book with political commentary at 5 stars before. I don't care if it's my side or not (which as a moderate I change sides with the issue). I use these books to escape. But in this small town dome book, I suppose it's impossible to stay away from it.
