Grisham's description of the plight of a cotton-growing family in second-world-war Arkansas is really enthralling and Marinker's narration just makes travel back in time, with the sounds and smells of the south. Really enjoyed it.
I took a while to decide to purchase this audiobook, because most reviews I read were very critical about the narrator's voice. Well, I liked Becca Battoe mainly because, in my opinion, her voice impersonated Anastasia's, since she is the one who tells the story.
As for the plot, I couldn't let it go until the end. This is definitely an engrossing love story, full of passion and life-changing experiences. Definitely worth it!
Stephen King's brilliant plot and Wasson's flawless narration dazzled me in so many ways, I could not stop listening to the story. At first, I thought the novel would be too long, with many hours of reading, but once I started, I could not let go of it. Now, I'm left wishing I could go back in time and listen to it as if it were my first time!
Of all of Brown's books I've read, this one I consider to be easy listening, past-time really, with no great pretenses. Interesting...
I really like Grisham's book. I couldn't let go of this one. I specially liked the way the protagonist turns his life around only to discover what really matters to us as human beings.
Definitely. The plot is full of suspense and very well written.
His narration enhances the thrill and suspense involving the story.
The story was too long and repetitive. I was hoping for a great end, but was disappointed in that too.
Great story about overcoming one of women's worst nightmare. Really enjoyed it and could not stop listening. Very well written and narrated.
The plot was slow at the beginning, but got better at the middle. Interesting characters. Good narration. Good pastime.
I enjoyed listening to the abridged version of this story, mainly because I felt that the unabridged versions of the first two books dragged for too long in details and descriptions of the characters. It was great to be able to learn what happened to Salander, but the third book is definitely the weakest of the three.
