Once again Diana Gabaldon writes a best seller. She continues to share her characters with us in a compelling story that will grab you from the start. This installment allows the reader to see inside their lives and their love for each other. The devotion of each and the value of family. It was fun to see the American Revolution from a new perspective and understand the challenges that existed because of the Revolution as well as the times. Thanks Diana for sharing this story with us.

Sent to live with a tribe in the wilds of Missouri, McCabe soon saves the life of a young brave. Subsequently, yet grudgingly, he is accepted by the Cheyenne, until he falls hopelessly in love with the beautiful, and betrothed, Night Bird Woman. Determined to marry her, McCabe must prove himself to the tribe.

This was one of the funnest and inspiring books I've read. Learning more about the settling of the west, the lives of a Cheyenne tribe, and a man who loved the Cheyenne people. This took me back and once the book ended I wanted more but the ending is perfect at the same time. You will not go wrong listening to this book.

On the eve of Marcus Cicero's inauguration as consul of Rome, the grisly death of a boy sends ripples of fear through a city already wracked by civil unrest, crime, and debauchery of every kind. Felled by a hammer, his throat slit and his organs removed, the young slave appears to have been offered as a human sacrifice, forbidden as an abomination in the Roman Republic. For Cicero, the ill forebodings of this hideous murder only increase his frustrations and the dangers he already faces as Rome's leader.

Robert Harris does a very good job describing the Roman condition and Roman politics and if you are interested and know a bit about Roman politics you will enjoy this book. I have always enjoyed learning about Roman history, but I found my self board. The book is complicated in the story but if you pay close attention it finally comes together.

Simon Jones definitely captured a voice that is what I have always heard in my head as a Roman voice although it was in English and not Latin.

Overall the book is okay, but I would not add the series (if there was one) to my series list.

This is a fantastic series and the perfect 2nd book. This series opens the doors to how Earth and other worlds may co-exist. This particular book is not just an extension of the first but opens the reader to various aspects to life on the moon and how society works. While the first book helped the main character disappear, this book looks for a disappeared and helps the reader understand the dilemma society faces when interacting with alien worlds.

If you like science fiction and space fantasy this is a fantastic series.

When Barry Fairweather dies unexpectedly in his early 40s, the little town of Pagford is left in shock. Pagford is, seemingly, an English idyll, with a cobbled market square and an ancient abbey, but what lies behind the pretty façade is a town at war. Rich at war with poor, teenagers at war with their parents, wives at war with their husbands, teachers at war with their pupils.... Pagford is not what it at first seems. And the empty seat left by Barry on the town's council soon becomes the catalyst for the biggest war the town has yet seen.

This book was depressing. I had hopes that the plot would improve but it did not and the narration made the book even more depressing. If you want to waste your time then go ahead and purchase this one. The focus of the book is on the vacancy of a council position and how the death of the previous holder of the seat effected those in the small town. This would not have been a bad book if there was some hope, but as the book continued on it down the same path and became more and more depressing. Because of this I must urgently find a better book to fill my mind to help me enjoy the rest of my day.

I was hoping that Rowling's next book would be as exciting and enjoyable as her Harry Potter series; however, this is not worth the paper it is printed on let alone the purchase of an audio version. I'm not sure if I will ever read another of Rowling's books if this is what she writes in the future.

People have been telling stories about warriors for as long as they have been telling stories... Our contributors make up an all-star lineup of award-winning and bestselling writers, representing a dozen different publishers and as many genres. We asked each of them for the same thing - a story about a warrior. Some chose to write in the genre they’re best known for. Some decided to try something different. You will find warriors of every shape, size, and color here....

This is one of the worst books I have ever listened to.The book was touted as a book about Warriors; however, it is a collection of short stories, and only two were worth listening to. Most of the time it was difficult ti know when the reader moved from one story to the next. I believe the reason confusion existed is because most of the stories left the reader hanging. Many time the story really did not have a conclsion and left the characters unresolved.

If you are looking for stories with warriors that succeed this is not the book for you. Most of the hero's are really victims or bullies. One story is about a woman who was abused, and this woman was touted as the warrior since the story was about her, turned out to be a serial murder. I do not consider this person to be warrior regardless of the brutality done to her.

I found most of the stories boring and confusing. I do not recommend this book.

His memory is blank. He only knows that he was flushed out of the Mediterranean Sea, his body riddled with bullets. There are a few clues. A frame of microfilm surgically implanted beneath the flesh of his hip. Evidence that plastic surgery has altered his face. Strange things that he says in his delirium -- maybe code words. Initials: "J.B." And a number on the film negative that leads to a Swiss bank account, a fortune of four million dollars, and, at last, a name: Jason Bourne.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the others in the series. I found it interesting that the story line in the books are very different than the movie. As a matter of face there is no similarity at all. The only thing that is similar are the names of the characters.

    Enjoy this fabulous read!
