The narration is incredible. The characters are well defined. An emotional (highs and lows) and tragic story.
Loyalty. Humility. Perseverance.
Moment after the final race in 1936.
Edward Herrmann gave voice and emotion to the characters.
Yes, I didn't want to stop listening.
One of the books that I'll read now that I've listened to it. I loved it!
I've already recommended this audiobook to several friends. Love, loss, and forgiveness.
Yes, I didn't want to stop listening. I listened every chance I could get... even cooked dinner while listening.
This is not a thinking person's book. The writing is amateurish and the story lacks depth. Every little detail is painfully described leaving little to the reader's imagination. Although I was bored throughout most of this book, I continued with the expectation that the book would become a classic Clancy novel. It never did.
I'm a Larry McMurtry fan and was looking forward to listening to Comanche Moon. Almost immediately, I became annoyed with the narration. Now, about two hours into the book, I continue to be distracted by the over-emphasized and breathy narration. I hope I can make it through all three parts because the story is good.
