I was left with a wonderful feeling of love-that I was loved -by Jesus, and no matter what, He loves me. So much love, warmth, and healing radiates from this book. I am going to listen to it again to allow more of the words and wisdom to "permeate my being"! I am not meaning to sound like a "new age guru", but this is a really positive book to listen to -well worth the time and money invested!!
I loved listening to the personal experiences Stack shared.
They are both wonderful narrators, and bring a tremendous sense of realism and warmth!
I wanted to listen all at once, but do to time, I did take some breaks! I did listen to it all in one day, though, and will hopefully do the same again today!!!
Yes, I would listen to "The Secret Language of Knitters" again! This is not only informative, but also, very entertaining!! It is written and read in such a light-hearted manner, I could not help but "feel good" just by listening to it!! The author has a way of not only writing, but narrating her work as though she were right there next to you, telling you her story personally!!
One of the "subjects" I liked was how she likened knitting to an addiction!! She really says it like it is, and I am definitely guilty!!! The author pokes fun at THIS addiction and of course lets us know this one is really okay, and we are definitly not alone in it!!!
To remember to keep my knitting excapades light-hearted and to remember to laugh at my own "crazys", wether I'm "frogging, sex-ing, or kip-ing"!
Great work! I think the author is a wonderful writer and story-teller, and hope she'll bring us more knitting reads in the future!
