As a believer and a scientist, I was deeply disappointed with this book. I can only comment on the first portion of it, since I could only take so much of his erroneous 'reasoning' before putting it down for good partway through.
In my opinion: the author either has a very poor grasp of modern evolutionary theory, or is intentionally misrepresenting it to make it easier to make his argument against it. Because he fails to grasp his 'opponents' arguments, his own defense is flawed and weak and will do little to assist anyone interested in debating a real scientist.
Perhaps it got better at the end, but this type of shoddy workmanship is not what makes Christianity Great. Fortunately, Christianity is great despite its many flawed adherents - because it relies on the ultimate truth of God.
