"Really kept my interest!"
The book is well written and the narrator made it even better. I found it difficult to quite listening!
"Not nearly as interesting as were her earlier book"
I found the story and descriptions too long and drawn out, the story seemed contrived not particularly believable.
"Wonderful!"
It sounds like the author (reader) really was inside a little boys head and thinking as he would think. It is an amazing listen. I wanted it to go on longer.
"Mesmerizing Story Great Narration"
I found both "The Informationist" and "The Innocent" kept me listening and not wanting to stop. Vanessa Michael Monroe is original, unlike any other lead character. Hillary Huber does an excellent job as narrator.
"Good story Poorly narrated"
The story was interesting if perhaps not totally believeable. I really felt the narrator ruined it for me. Maybe there were too many characters for one narrator but you could not tell the character by the voice. They all sounded like middle aged or older men.
"Intresting and well read by the narrartor"
I enjoyed the witty comments by the main character, Andy Carpenter. This story was made so much better by Grover Garden. I am learning that the narrator makes all the difference in many of my books.
"Original Plot"
This was an original plot and read well. However, it did not hold my interest.
"Hated it"
The reader was excellelnt. The author really got into the head of a mentally disturbed sociopath but it was a depressing story with no redeeming qualities that I noted.
"More romance than mystery"
This was far more a romance than a mystery or thriller. I thought if she commented one more time on how Mark's muscles rippled or how handsome he was I would have to give up listening to it.
"Absolutely mesmerizing"
I really enjoyed listening to this ! The narrator, Hillary Huber, made it come alive. I can't wait for the sequel and. can only hope for the same narrrator.
Taylor Stevens has Great career ahead of her.
