Among the very best accounts of military life and combat I have ever read. Campbell is down-to- earth and tells it like it is from a perspective that most Americans in "fly-over-country" share. Not a book for liberal ideologues occupying ivory towers and with axes to grind.
Kupelian is to lauded for taking off the gloves in this work and exposing the purveyors of evil for who and what they are. Author falters by devoting a lot of ink to recitation of the evils afflicting America, as if anybody really needed to be reminded. I already knew what the evils are, I bought this book to better understand the root causes of and methods employed by evil personages.
Does an excellent job of exposing how intellectuals function on plane they imagine to be higher to that on which ordinary people function. Author exposes how intellectuals employ verbal virtuosity to win arguments that nonetheless lack grounding in evidence or even common sense.
