"Hearne delivers in this series, again."
This book was very similar to its predecessors and therefore well worth the time and money. The newness of the premise and characters is beginning to wear off, now, though. Still a good read.
"HO HUM....."
Greg Bear can write better than this. Save your $...mediocre at best. Enough said.
"This collaboration works well!"
Inventive ideas which were well fleshed out...I enjoyed the story, and although I can't give it 5 stars on a category, compared to the trash out there this is well worth it. Spend the $, you won't be disappointed.
"The best in the series!"
Richard Phillips delivers fun technology sci-fi with an alien twist...what more could you want? LGMs, computers and wormholes! Bon Appetit!!
"You can't help but like the guy!"
This series was enjoyable....it is easy to identify with the main character...you can't help but like him. My one beef is that this series seemed to have so much potential...but never seemed to quite get over the hump from really good to excellent.
"A quality listen. Sci-Fi fans will enjoy!"
The author explores some cutting edge near future ideas, especially in the technology arena. Entertaining, and yet made you think.
"Strictly middle of the road."
Not great, not terrible...not much more to say. It passed a few hours in the car.
"ROMANCE NOVEL! BEWARE!"
I got suckered into this one by all of the 4 and 5 star reviews...sounded promising...what a waste of time. This is not quality fantasy or sci-fi.....strictly romance. Save your coin.
"Entertaining, but did not grab me."
The author uses some fun and interesting twists on the classic fantasy series here, but I can't help but feel it could have been so much more. The characters did not grab me...I didn't feel for them in my gut...you know what I mean. The great books do this, and therefore I can only say this was good, not great.
"SOLID."
You will enjoy this installment of the adventures of our local wizard, Harry Dresden. Exciting and fun (especially the last third of the book). The middle part of the book was muddied with a confusion of plot lines, however, but was satisfyingly resolved in the last portion. SOLID.
"Better than the first book!"
What can I say? Suarez is a visionary. I was disappointed initially in the abrupt ending of the first book...really quite jarring, but Suarez redeemed himself with a magnificent conclusion. This book is so close to the potential reality of the near future...it really makes you think. Enjoy!
